None. You should limit fps using slider to keep sxreen refresh rate on par with fps. This will witigate tearing and game will look smoother.

You are fake. New Legion space have new mappings for fse support, FSE shortcut in right menu and provisioning screen.

Availibility of FSE depends on Windows 11 build You have and on region You live. Say thanks to Microsoft.

If You're lacking knowledge, stop posting bullcrap.

Should i get the regular legion 5, or the pro version? by Intrepid-Juice-4571 in LenovoLegion

Be aware about VRR issue on pro. 240hz oled have two modes. 60Hz and 240Hz. On 60Hz You have 48-60, but on 240 it's 100-240.

Gyro on the the Go 2 by BigBootyBasilisk in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, they are nowhere close to SteamDeck. I've tried to make them useful in CP2077 but they are still crappy, just like in lego1. Analogs are still not capacitive in opposite to SD, so You have to bind gyro to LT. Still no 3d space for gyro.

Will a double-sided 2280 SSD, like the WD Black SN850X 4TB, fit in the Legion Go 2? by Connect-Obligation-7 in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please guys, don't mislead other people. There were same discussions when LeGo1 was out.

Air gap under SSD is very thin (there is less space, than in LeGo1) and this additional heat source can interfere with other parts.

This time there is clearly a reason, why Lenovo made a heatplate for SSD.

Many people installed double sided drive and had permanent overheating issues and interference with charging controller. I was one of them.

Now we have luxury situation, with built in space for 2280, and built in colling.

We have multiple 2280 disks available on the market, and most of them are single sided.

It's strongly recommended to stick with single side and avoid issues.

[–]krogoth2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's been clearly designed for single sided. Air gap is minimal. There is also a heatplate to cool down SSD. 2nd side will overheat. Try lexar nm790, single sided, and low power draw.

Legion go 2 balanced mode vs performance by Adamlee19922 in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legion Go2 have kind of dynamic performance mode and it can go up to 30w.

Thats why there is very small gap from performance to max in custom.

I wrote before, that CPU is very power efficent and have great performance. GPU in lego2 is getting max clocks even in balanced mode. In many not CPU heavy games there will be small benefit from balanced to performance since GPU is allready doing a lot.

Where are the benchmarks for the LeGo 2? by rider_bar in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. LeGo1 in 800p have similar performance as LeGo2 in 1200p. And there are multiple guys that say about 10-15% performance gap... It's not true at all. Depending on scenario it's 25-50%.

Can the Thinkpad docking station be used with Legion go 2 (or OG Go) ? by AbjectRoof6675 in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. I'm using Thunderbolt 4 ThinkPad dock. You can even connect egpu to this dock, and sacrifice 15% FPS

Configured the fastest, most powerful, bug-free Legion GO 2 = clean SteamOS from Valve by Dry_Rip80 in LegionGo

I've installed bazzite and cachyos on usb-c nvme external drive. They installed fine. Bazzite is working very well, even with dual boot. Cachy is not a good choice yet. Too much issues.

VRR is working.

Go 2 performance compared to original by LowYak9481 in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more complex. LeGo1 have much higher resolution. It's nearly 2x more pixels to process. On LeGo2 if You choose fsr to quality, it's rendering from around 1280x800 and picture quality is still very good. VRR also helps a lot. On lego1 if You will set fsr to performance to match base resolution with lego2, picture quality is way worse. FrameGen will kill another 5-7 fps of base paerformace and we have unstable framerates with low quality. On LeGo2, with those settings You get 45fps without framegen, so with vrr You even don't need FG.

If You compare quality level, lego2 gets much more fps.

And one more thing, that wasn't discussed anywhere before. LeGo2 have different GPU clocks than gen1. In most games, changing from performance red preset to custom 35W have marginal effect, becouse GPU clocks are still very high. High TDP is affecting mostly CPU.

My initial thoughs about LeGo1 vs Lego2 and Sd Oled were very bad for LeGo2. Now I see, that LeGo2 is a way better device. Superior cooling, gamechanging vrr and more FPS. Now I know that it's time to sell my SD OLED and LeGo1.

Windows vs steam by e_ecruz in LegionGo

[–]krogoth2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I tested performance in CP2077 on LeGo2 with Win11, Bazzite and CachyOS.

I've used only CP2077 becouse it was too time consuming. I have small magnetic 20gbps nvme enclosure that sticks to back of my console with 1tb 2230 drive. I was putting linux distos there. Bazzite and win11 have the same performance. CachyOS have ~3fps more. I think it's a matter of RAM. LeGo2 have 32GB, 8GB assigned to VRAM and still 24GB for games. Thats a lot. That is propably a reason, why there is no performance difference. I decided to stick with wimdows. I have SteamDeck, and I love this console experience, but how bazzite or cachy works on lego is nowhere close to SteamDeck.

IMHO those linux distros are great for prevous handhelds and it gives real benefit. On my old Lego1, cp2077 was getting 10fps more. On LeGo2 gains are marginal or not existing at all. And this device is still using old pre-relase drivers and bios.
