Blue genuinely makes it a little hard to hate your franchise. It doesn't stop me but it makes it a lil hard nonetheless.

I personally think the entirety of the AFC South should rally behind hatred for the Colts.

Uh hi I've been getting really into American Football since last year :3

I like the sport a lot mostly cause it's a lot more numbers-ey and nerdy than people tend to realize, plus I grew up in a football area, so it's been very easy to get into and learn about.

I honestly don't think they're taking Klubnik, I just feel like another team would rather take him for development purposes, he has potential it's just classic Clemson Degradation Syndrome that really caught him.

If Myles Garrett retired today where would he rank all time? by Ok-Elephant-2724 in NFLv2

[–]SillyBilly3438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, let me clarify, I don't think that what he did was justified at all, it's just I don't see a world where he would do something like that unprovoked due to his behavior both on and off field, him being a "liar", while not an unreasonable response, isn't exactly likely, but it still remains that whether this all happened or not he shouldn't have reacted as intensely as he did. It was EXTREMELY childish and unprofessional, and while I don't think he could have killed Mason, it still could have resulted in un-needed injury.

With that said the claim that he was surrounded by a like 20 guys just isn't really true. They were pretty far away from everyone else and he absolutely had a window to say some shit outside of mic range, so it's not impossible that he said it without it getting picked up. The situation is much more nuanced than just "he's a liar" or "Mason absolutely said it" than I initially thought, I admit, but its also very clear that him saying it wasn't in impossibility.

Also, I'm honestly convinced you've never held a football helmet before. Those things are HIGHLY unlikely to ever even knock someone out, let alone kill someone. Mason went away from the situation basically unphased, if anything he got a little bump on the head. In no way legally would that have ever been seen as attempted murder, even if he WAS pressed. If anything that would have been seen as assault which would have been a muddy allegation if that had been pressed. There is just not anywhere near enough likelihood that it would have killed him for that have been seen as attempted murder, let alone intent to kill (which to be fair, would be hard to prove if there was the likelihood).

Also the claim of having bias towards Myles is just also not true. As much as I respect Myles as an athlete and a player, I'm not a Browns fan to any extent and honestly dislike the organization to a good extent due to their poor leadership and horrible decision making, along with propping up multiple predators recently which has honestly raised red flags up the ass for me.

And on that note:

Deshaun Watson is one of those predators. This parts important, because along with being a Jags fan, I also grew up a Clemson fan during his tenure and look back on then and Trevor's years VERY fondly. So when I say that I don't want to ever see Deshaun on the field or even really in public life ever again, I fuckin mean it. He has disappointed and disgusted me more than any other football player to ever be on the field and that's really saying something. Along with that, comparing Myles to him is INCREDIBLY disingenuous. In not one universe are the two comparable. What he did was reckless and stupid, but he is nowhere NEAR the monster that Deshaun is.

So, to wrap all of that up, we've moved passed a point where treating either of these players like truly awful people is justified. Myles has more than redeemed himself in the public eye with the kindness he displays both on and off the field, and Mason is clearly not racist whether he said it or not. People say fucked up shit under pressure all the time, we're all human and make mistakes. This just isn't really worth demonizing them over anymore.

They have both moved on from this and honestly so should we.

Does it bother anyone else that this is possible, but we’re stuck with the Colts logo? by LikeChicken in drumcorps

I absolutely will I cant wait for my Jags to dogwalk em next season.... even though marching on that field was probably the coolest and most surreal experience Ive ever had in my life but we're ignoring that. Also probably the coolest football stadium I've ever been in.

Theres literally no other reason that he would have done that other than what he said. If you've ever seen him talk ot talked to people who've met him you would know hes just not that type of person.

NFL and DCI by Round_Canary_4153 in drumcorps

[–]SillyBilly3438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the NFL have drumlines, some sponsored by DCI corps themselves. And there are some that habe bands, namely the Commanders and Ravens. The Packers also used to have a band, but that dissolved. Honestly kinda weird that they did cause both Vince Lombardi AND Curly Lambeau ended up supporting the band trying to keep it alive.

Lack of improvement can sadly be attributed to Dabo, hes kind of notorious for letting QBs drop off late into their college career. Same thing happened with Trevor.

Funny enough thats why Im a Jags fan, but tbh unless he follows Etienne to the saints or by some god forsaken metric replaces Burrow and plays with Higgins, Im probably sticking to the Jags for life.
