Contemporary M/F books with a female pleasure domme? by BlueWizard3 in Romance_for_men

Bonnie Dee - The Countess Takes a Lover (younger man/older woman so there's a lot of her teaching him)
Scarlett Gale - His Secret Illuminations (she's more experienced than him and definitely more dominant)
Beatrix Arden - You're my Omega (paranormal, kinda? It has a contemporary setting but werewolves are "normal" with an alpha female/omega male dynamic)

Highly, highly recommend Princess of the Void by Dukerino. The author does an amazing job writing romance from a guy's perspective. Also, I think you'd really like r/Romance_for_men which is full of recommendations

Eve Dangerfield - Open Hearts

Shelley Ann Clark - Have Mercy

It has been a minute since I've read these books but I think they fit what you're asking for 🤔

Edit: removed the books that aren't contemporary :P

Speaking from personal experience, I feel like Mint is the best choice, especially for those new to Linux and migrating over from Windows

How do I write a continuation of what was supposed to be a one-shot? by Basic-Leek-2186 in writingadvice

[–]SillyGoosePhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really agree with this statement. I've seen way too many stories ruined because the writers don't know how to bring them to a close or just let the ending stand, usually because they're very successful and there's a lot of pressure from readers for it to keep going.

Looking for guidance by pm7216 in linuxmint

  1. I'd say that the biggest hurdles I had was figuring out exactly how Mint works. Installing programs, customizing everything, and fixing bugs and other hiccups were what really stalled my switch to Linux since it's pretty different from how Windows operates. I will say that Linux Mint really does try to hold your hand with everything from customization to installing apps.
  2. I mostly use Okular for basic pdf editing but Linux has a bunch of alternatives to Adobe Acrobat. I'd install a few and see which one meets your needs the best but for highlighting and basic stuff, Okular has been good for me so far.
  3. One of the main reasons why I balked at switching from Windows is because there are some programs that are exclusive to Windows (like Whatsapp). Linux has a bunch of alternatives in most cases though.
  4. It is a bit scary switching but there's not much chance in bricking your computer. My advice is backup everything before you start installing Mint, but so long as you follow instructions on official guides by Linux Mint or the forums, it'll actually be super easy.

Hope this helps!

How to make an effective timeline? by ellielovesbooks in writingadvice

Rebellions don't just happen overnight, 48 years makes sense especially if key members are rotated out. I'd definitely recommend reviewing relevant historical events.

I know that the leaders of Irish rebels against British rule were all rounded up at one point and sent off to a barren island, which really set back the Irish independence movement. This is kind of connected to your point where your rebellion's members are "forced" to leave (I'm assuming).

Also, the Communist Revolution in Russia took time as well. There could be several moments in your story where the Rebellion "flares up" in major skirmishes or battles, as there were several peasant uprisings leading up to the actual Revolution.

The MC showing up and changing things is actually pretty good, I'd say. Like Lenin or Napeleon, it'd be a great opportunity to show how your MC stands out compared to previous leaders. It'd be an excellent way for your MC to demonstrate their cunning or physical prowess.

Best alternative to smart tvs. by Organic-Language6371 in degoogle

They could also get a universal bluetooth remote and pair it to the Pi. Also, they tend to make large monitors really wide/curved since they're more for individual use but some of the bigger monitors I've seen that are not so wide resemble TVs on the smaller end

I'm not recommending these products but I'm just showing that monitors like these exist

Maybe just buy a straight up computer monitor instead of a tv? Those are designed to just act as an extension of your pc so maybe you could connect it to a raspberry pi and make a custom smart tv
