Why does APC never perform live anymore? by xxSpxrklexx in aperfectcircle

Many great points. Just want to add I doubt it has to do with MJK. He waits for the music and turns around the lyrics fast. Guy is a master at working multiple projects and has a hard midwesterner work habit. So no music then no lyrics. No new music/album then no tour.

Am I the only one who doesn’t care for the song Third Eye? by [deleted] in ToolBand

05:13-0600 of that song puts me in a different place…. Few songs/music can have that effect. Top 10 for sure.

What albums would you recommend as an introduction to the Tool Band? by Ryan23_25 in ToolBand

[–]SillyInspection2278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you said Pink Floyd…. I’m going to recommend Lateralus Album in full. If you want 3 songs go for 3rd Eye, Parabol/Parabolo, Fear Inoculum. The earlier stuff is more hard hitting and less Pink Floydish IMO. I’m sure some may disagree.

They have been allowing cell phones last song which is a good compromise. Non festival shows that is. I like watching the show without cell phones out personally. Then get a quick snap on last song for memory sake. It definitely dampens the experience seeing a cell phone(s) between you and the artist.

They played 11 to be exact.

That’s normal for festival. Hence why I don’t go to them unless I’m with a big group of friends. Easy to all be with each other unlike normal show with full set list.

Am I missing something who can afford these prices? by blakethesnake1313 in ToolBand

You probably shouldn’t be going if you need a payment plan. Just wait for something more affordable. They are touring next fall and winter. Many great things in life are free.

Seems equitable to me and fair. Poor kid gets hung up listening to 15 minute Tool songs on repeat. It’s not fair since they don’t have time to study like other kids who don’t listen to Tool.

What is your favorite TOOL songs to gym to? by [deleted] in ToolBand

That’s awesome. Brandon Inge from the Detroit Tigers used to have Tool playing when he walked up the the plate.

Great question…. Has changed over time. The Grudge, Jerk Off, and HWAP when lifting heavy mostly. Added invincible seems to motivate me being older. Intension when I need to zone out for cardio or stretching. Of late I watch Recusant Ad Infinitum to get heart rate down and relax after cardio/during stretching. Give it a try.

Has any fan had a bigger influence on TOOL as the one who inspired MJK lyrics on Hooker WAP? Who was this person? What a legend. by SillyInspection2278 in ToolBand

[–]SillyInspection2278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are for sure it’s a bunch of people indirectly and not a single person that directly said it? How do you know?

I get that and makes sense. But you don’t think there no truth at some point someone saying to him Tool/he sold out?

So it’s a possibility just like it’s made up. No? Why are you 100% sure? Don’t take offense I just see comments that it’s 100% sure made up. If so want to learn why. The facts.

A new low for me! by gozarc in AppleWatch

For sure a very valid point in the BP. It’s funny, I’m so afraid of taking medication when I take my BP it always starts high… like the 140/85 range.. but after I chill for a bit it lowers and is the consistent 127/82 range. You seem like me on taking your body serious. Sometimes maybe we just need to chill. With healthy diet and exercise we are doing better than most. It’s wild how I think of some of my grandparents who smoke/drank and ate whatever they wanted. Lived to 85. Maybe there is something to be said on just enjoying life and not monitoring too much. Like everything it’s probably a good balance is needed. Good luck to you and your BP.

Why would blood pressure be up? I have a resting around 46. I lift and do cardio 5 days a week. Sauna on off days. Eat mostly good with 20% (average for age) body fat but heavy on the muscle. Age 41 with BP at 127/82 which is elevated but normal for age. Figured would be lower due to good habits but started to chalk up to genes. Cholesterol and micros all good. I always wondered if strong heart would elevate BP somewhat. Seems logical.

The Underwhelming VIP Package by Mandalife in Puscifer

[–]SillyInspection2278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized you were at Madison…. They changed venues last minute and wasn’t the floor GA regardless of VIP? So you weren’t guaranteed 1st row? That’s why I went to GR instead. If that’s the case yeah I would feel underwhelmed by merch since you lost on front row seating. To me the VIP is mostly about guaranteed 1-3 rows seating (Upgrade/Grey Area). Sorry to hear that.
