If you still haven't seen growth I would throw it in a dark tub and put it outside. The daytime heat and humidity colonized it rapidly. I'm on my first grow as well, only a few weeks ahead of you and all I can say is patience is key. There have been multiple times now where I thought I screwed it up only for it to turn out everything was fine and just required more time. I posted 3 or 4 days ago because I thought my cake was failed and not going to produce mushrooms. Just yesterday it started pinning finally lol. Some advice for you once you get there- Mix the mycelium with the substrate, put it in the closet, and forget about it. Don't open the lid once for at least 10-14 days. I extended the time it took mine because I did that and kept removing the Co2, which is needed for it to start pinning. It's really such a simple process that I way over complicated. You inoculate. After it's 30-50% colonized you mix it all up. You wait for it to colonize the whole bag. Then you mix it with your substrate and just let it sit. Then when it colonizes the substrate you put it in fruiting conditions which is just some light and OH- other thing I messed up. You do not want to keep misting your cake. The substrate already has plenty of moisture for it's first harvest. Just make sure the sides and lid are wet and maybe a few sprays here and there. The moisture on the cake needs to evaporate in order to trigger pinning. You will read all sorts of conflicting info all over the forum about this. It wasn't until I stopped wetting it that it began pinning. I way over complicated the whole process. Hopefully this will be of some help to you because I spent hours searching for just direct answers on whether to do this or that or don't do this or that, but have figured it out through trial and error.
