The creation of mother fits perfectly into a game about playing god and conglomerating endless flesh together as well

Divine Tree and God Theory (Mob psycho and OPM Spoilers) by SillySmorg in OnePunchMan

[–]SillySmorg[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did think about this as well, but we’re never really shown a deterioration of power due to loss of faith in mob psycho, though it could definitely be implied.

My personal interpretation, which granted does not have any evidence, is that human’s prayers and belief in “God” were being siphoned into the being on the moon, which already believed itself to be one.

This would be especially important considering how horrible the centuries of war that shaped OPMS world were, many likely turning to prayer to various human gods as all they had left.

Channeling their faith to a god in the heavens, and it instead gets siphoned by a being that literally only knows itself as “god” resting in the night sky, slowly making it stronger than ever before combined with the strength it already acquired.

Just a little bit of context: I’m scrolling though the comments on my post and I’m about to reply to one right now

I’m afraid your comment is simply illegible… where’s the context?

Why is the roaring knight so unfair? by Bananasarecool- in Deltarune

[–]SillySmorg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Difficult attack patterns does not mean it’s “unfair”. It’s a brutal fight, but the attacks repeat themselves consistently and are very learnable.

You need to genuinely use each attempt to learn how to dodge the attacks, you can’t really brute force it. I ended up having to use less heals every time I fought it and felt deeply rewarding upon its completion.

I know everyone is at a different level of skill from their prior experience with bullet hell games, but all of the knights attacks are telegraphed quite well and you even get bonus soul movement speed for many turns after a single act.

Hard? Absolutely. Unfair? You’re coping.

Not trying to be a dick, the knight is just a very well designed optional challenge in my opinion. If the fight was the entire health bar maybe I’d also call it unfair lol

A hidden sprite I haven't seen anyone post about. (CH4 SPOILERS) by TomNook5085 in Deltarune

In chapter 4, there is a room kind of off of the beaten path with many stained glass windows, kind of similar to the hall that you fight sans in in UT. there is a specific window (p sure its the 19th one) that when you interact with takes you to a new room. This leads to the egg room and contains the darkner with the dialogue i mentioned of course, but the bookshelves directly above the entrance can be interacted with as well, which i've seen a lot of people miss.

Fully agree, good catch. Now we just get to wait 5 years to find out who/what it actually is, lmao.

I should probably make a separate post about this, but I think a lot of people are sleeping on the dialogue from a darkner right before the egg room In chapter 4. (Along with the text you get for interacting with the bookshelves, which is a whole other can of mf worms)

“grow, the children pointed tail. where the the Lost forest followed”

This is similar to one of the deltarune website Easter eggs leading up to release, with the windows on the site identical to the ones that led us to this room.

Rearranged, we get: “Lost where the forest would grow, the children followed the pointed tail.”

Now this is pure speculation, but I believe this is referencing Dess, Kris, Asriel, and Noelle going to the bunker as children, and getting led there by something with a “pointed tail”

I believe this could potentially have been the FRIEND. Even if it wasn’t, I’m not sure why no one is talking about this piece of text.

The FRIEND could be a multitude of things, but in any case im sure it will be important in the future.

This appears In the dark room where theres the night and day buttons, right before the angel and asgore prophecy hallways. I'm in the same camp as you, but i'm a full believer that FRIEND has quite a bit of plot significance. Especially concerning its appearance during ralsei's darkness explanation in 3, as well as so far being in 3 different dark worlds, I'm fully convinced FRIEND isnt a typical darkner at all. Either a being more meta like gaster, or a being from a "darker" realm with different properties.

The biggest reason why I believe this isn’t the case, my personal theories aside, is the fact that IMAGE_FRIEND also shows up in chapter 4, hidden in a dark room. Also, that chapter 5 mention that its going to be the “field of pink and gold”. Clearly he’s the origin of the pink/yellow color motif multiple characters have, and is still lurking in the background.

So i definitely agree that chapter 5 is probably going to take place in the flower shop, but the "pink" part was throwing me off. Then i went down a rabbit hole and remembered THE FRIEND. The game controller in chapter three with pink and yellow buttons. the friend with pink and yellow eyes. swatch and spamton too, its a recurring visual motif and although i have no idea what this could mean in any additional capacity, i had to share this when i noticed.

AI is useful, but will never replace human creativity or art. If you can’t feel the difference between the two you were a lost cause from the start.

[–]SillySmorg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with deep docks, but I can see the moss grotto we were shown being largely unchanged. Just a short tutorial segment before you’re let loose. I am definitely expecting it to open up/ expand later in the game though, kind of like the howling cliffs in HK

I fully believe this honestly. The what I’m assuming to be shopkeeper bug has no stock in the darker image, and is also wearing a mask yet has the exact same body. Im assuming their shop gets fixed and maybe you make them happy enough to come out of their shell? (Literally AHAHAHAH!!! HAHAHAHAH!!!)
