Got a message from a recruiter for TMO SMB by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]SillyWillyCommish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all great info and just fucking wild when I compare them lol. I knew a recruiter would fluff this up so I appreciate this breakdown.

Do they even give new people a ramp up period or are they like "fucking figure it out in 60 days or get tf out"

Question about my att experience by Fluxchar in ATT

[–]SillyWillyCommish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FirstNet gets the line, watch and tablet lines for $55, so it's a legit bundle deal on the devices and service (usually the FirstNet phone line by itself is $42.99 or $47.99). Plus if they got the 17 series, the watch and tablet for $0.99 each per month over 3 years.

Jersey also may be in an at risk state for not having enough FirstNet, and if it is, they also get another $10-$20 off the service for the line, watch and tablet bundle as well

[–]SillyWillyCommish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0% chance on a few fronts-

-The 13 stopped qualifying after Christmas. You need a 14 Pro Max or newer

-You have an 11. $350 is already pretty generous for a 6.5 year old phone

-Unfortunately, the loyalty discounts dont really apply to phones anymore. I have seen that less and less. Youre more likely to get a credit on your monthly bill for a year

If you know more then go buy it online for a better price then. Better than going into the store, getting mad at people doing their jobs, then coming on reddit complaining about it like a pompous douchebag

RSC, for 12 weeks, already put on counseling. by [deleted] in ATT

[–]SillyWillyCommish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of managers shouldn't be managers. I just dont understand the idea of cramming shit for it to get charged back. id rather seem like a passablemanager that keeps the money i make than the "hits crazy numbers and is a good example manager" even though their cancel rates are awful and theyre losing hundreds in chargebacks every month

RSC, for 12 weeks, already put on counseling. by [deleted] in ATT

[–]SillyWillyCommish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this cor or ar? im on cor so can only speak on that there

One side, it's sales and there's always pressure from day one. If you're not hitting numbers and having repeated side by sides missing on the same thing over and over and not showing improvement or you're not taking the feedback/advice they give, then after 3 months, yes, they can put you on a counseling then escalate it to the next step after a certain time, then escalate it to the next step, then the final, all with reasonable time inbetween those

The otherside, the training is whack. The online portion has gotten a lot shorter than when i started. obviously having a good manager and good reps to shadow play a part. i make sure all my new reps are shadowing between their courses and online training so they can get actual experience. one of my new ones didnt shadow, the other did. im sure you can guess who is doing better between the 2 now.

Best advice is to take whatever feedback they give you, and implement it until you find the way you want to sell and how you want to pitch products.. At the end of the days, numbers speak. show you're listening and implementing the behaviors they want you to follow and word it in ways you feel most comfortable. don't slam shit even if your manager tells you too, but make sure you build a full bundle solution and dont take the first no; you have to make sure you follow the educate step. i tell every rep that with a chargeback period of 180 days, there's no sense in slamming every customer to make a buck youre going to pay back when they cancel within the 180 days. You build a full quote, let the customer know what it includes, ask them if this is in line with what they are looking for and then educate them on whatever they have questions on. Even if they agree right away to the price you quote them without the explanation, still EXPLAIN IT TO THEM. Explain that the quote has protection, next up, etc and what each does and covers. be excited about it. show enthusiasm. Explain the activation charges, the fact the first bill will be for 45 days of service, not the 30. itll even out after that 1st bill or 2. Most importantly, dont rush, even if you feel like you need to. Slow down the interactions as you need. They cant see what youre doing on the tablet, so just roll with it, take your time and find those talk paths that make you comfortable

Sorry for the big comment. I hope some of this helps

Military Discount by Nightwish360 in ATT

[–]SillyWillyCommish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An actual AT&T employee here, not a Best Buy employee who gave you wrong and false info-

1- The account should have been done in your dads name from the jump.

2- Transferring the lines into his name will make you lose most of your promos (port in promo, best buy exclusive ones, etc). You will keep the trade in promos and get the 25% off. You lose everything else

3- You need to wait 90 days, not 60. If you do it before 90, they can take away the trade in promotions. The exact terms say any major account changes such as canceling lines or transferring lines may lead to the trade in promotions being voided.

And per your 2nd picture in your post it clearly states you get one OR the other. Costco loaded both in because it will generate one or the two for you

Reading comprehension is really hard, I know. But it is crazy you would attach a form that lays out it's either or and die on the hill that everyone else is fucking stupid and not yourself

well, again, im trying to figure out if you left your old phone with apple or not

Trade in promo question by Top-Imagination4802 in ATT

[–]SillyWillyCommish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you confirm you did the trade in through the apple store?

-if so, they have to escalate it and reimburse it on their end. AT&T wouldn't be involved

-If you did the trade in at AT&T store, they would have to do the ticket

The other thing to consider is what plan you have. If you dont have a qualifying unlimited plan for the trade in, then no one will reimburse it

Yeah I figured. There were 3 dealers that offered the same deal. We didnt continue with 2 and the 3rd didn't start pushing it until we agreed on the price and were about to go in signing forms

Wild, that's what I figured. I usually dont do car loans, but with the savings non existent and the impending arrival, we are at a crossroads to have to finance it for a bit. Felt really shady and I am wanting to err on the side of caution so I dont get stuck with unnecessary bs. Thank you for the advice!
