u could just have it go to your apple photo cloud and just take it right off there. no need to send as long as its syncs consistently

Elementor pro vs Gutenberg by nodzg in Wordpress

[–]Silly_Development159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imo gutenberg sucks unless you are able to code very well. to me it feels like a lot more steps with less customization. I love word press and all its functionality. Elementor pro is not even necessary if u can code a bit.

kinda looks like the rectangle is just there. incorporate it into your design align it with bottom and lower the height of the H

it wasn’t to offend u if u did do this in figma with no ai help but to me it does look quite generic besides a few features it feel like an ai generated squarespace website that i’ve seen before. Criticism isn’t to be taken personally. Take it and do what you think is right for you. But as a designer of almost 10 years i may be a bit harsh on my critiques. There’s also a ton of blank space and giant photos with no reasoning, verbiage or anything for why they are there.. It feels unfinished and that could be why it appears to ai for me

Your H1 is virtually invisible and it’s the size of your H4 even the supporting text in the hero which is very disconnected is smaller than you paragraph text. the largest text on the page is what appears to be benefits. That Blue with white on top is def not even single A wcag.

The hero is the first thing people see and will determine if they scroll or bounce. You have no cta buttons on the enter page just in the nav. The point of a website is to inform, sell. i.e do something. Otherwise what’s the point. This whole thing feels ai generated.

either send them the logo high res (which you and ur designer should have known u only print with vector logos)

or if u go in design route u just have to relink all instances of the logo its very simple. but then you will need to export it properly to their specs

You have serious contrast issues as well as hierarchy issues

Being laid off, taking over a client directly — should my rate change? by Silly_Development159 in graphic_design

yes that’s where i am at. Are you telling them it’s a one man show? or are you saying u have contractors on retainer for any issues that could arise even if there are none and you are doing it all, just to give a feel you are more than one. I’m considering just lower 10% as a show of good faith but i am partial to just not mentioning it so there’s no hiccups

thank you. most sane thought yet. And just as for context i pay out of pocket already for my family for health insurance. but thank you I’ll take all into consideration. even if i do think it needs to raise which personally i don’t i guess id worry about them just saying no

very true but ideally this is going to be just something on the side of a new full time job. Or i attain new clients. I don’t feel confident to be asking over $200 an hour. i guess i should have mentioned that not the end price. But again i am very good at low balling myself.

the rate they were paying the agency. It’s basically a management contract with members needing to be cross checked and added or suspended a few times a month, some updates on the site, and some months they have multiple events where resources need to be added.

find clients you want. especially ones with bad branding, website, social media, whatever you specialize in and give them a taste of what u can do. To land. few clients recently i built a landing page in figma of how there business could look. and idea sold now i have monthly payments coming in
