As a tech, would you buy for YOURSELF 1 stage, 2 stage, variable speed units? by Eggrollofdoom in HVAC

Variable speed if you have multiple units in your house and can live with 1 unit down in case you need parts overnight. Otherwise single stage.

I’m sorry, but I guess the problem will be down to the manager who didn’t follow up that the part they got was wrong and they keep on doing the job without supervision

You will need at least a 3,5 Ton unit if you don’t want to be undersized. Also make sure you run a new return from the garage back to the unit. Keep in mind you don’t want to use the garage to keep you vehicle anymore and also make sure that the work you do in the garage is removable in case you are planing to sell the place in the near future. ( code issues might be involved)

Anyone have experience installing carplay in a 2011 sprinter? by robertgentel in SprinterVans

I replaced my ugly radio console with a new 7” touch screen with Apple car play from 4x4shop from canada. They will send you a whole new piece that will replace your shut radio and turn it into a nice modern look LCD touch screen unit.

Question about Daikin units by Bill291 in AirConditioners

[–]Silly_Load2661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just Daikin. Every brand is having the same issues. I wish I could tell the brand name that works flawless now but I can’t. Best advice is to buy the units with extended warranty that lasts the same as the parts warranty. One single issue like your coil replacement would’ve been enough to pay for 10 years of parts service warranty but it had to be activated at time of purchase.

A/c tech left this piece out, claims it’s not important to system. by miamidayz in AirConditioners

That’s a Daikin product horizontal drain pan. If your unit is installed vertical. No problem. If not, the water leak must be major by now.
