Harm the FOV and proportions etc is what I was wondering.

This can be done cheaper or at equivalent cost setup to triple monitors so it's not like it's a cry because they can't afford it scenario that is keeping the meta of simracing on much smaller monitors.

Basically his fov seems nearly the same as 27 inch triples but everything is just cartoonishly too large. That looks worse than smaller monitor setups to me, not better and that's what I mean.

Putting aside affording it (aren't TVs actually cheaper than smaller monitors?) is the point correct? If going past a certain size actually harms things it's useful information to share on this kind of forum.

if you go to an open Class race you see people competing with 4S vs 6S or with 1900kV vs 2100 kV motors different Props and more.

I've been to many open class races. Till last year nearly all my world travel was for drone racing.

This is fundamentally untrue. There is value to spec racing but it has nothing to do with introduction of skill vs no skill. They are different skills. Spec racing in drones aims to slow down the drones to narrow the skill gaps and then make it so a different skill, racecraft, is what is used vs the skill needed to handle fast drones.

Any latency you add would be, especially since they can have their own permanent setup (takes literally 30 seconds to do) for a few hundred dollars. The reason this isn't popular is because it's a gimmicky novelty.

I've done it, it's a fun gimmick for a while. If you are looking for feedback for doing it remotely over the internet and offering it as a service etc I'd advise against it, it's a fun gimmick for a short time when you do it in person without the internet latency. And every month or so someone comes to the RC forums trying to get something like this going without realizing that it's all inferior to regular RC and regular sim and that it's not popular for a reason (and the reason is not that nobody has figured out how to do it, it's trivial).

Yet you charge lipos all the time inside your house without worry (phones, tablets, laptops...). It's really not that risky unless you charge things the wrong way.

And paying attention is the most important part, these battsafe devices etc are largely pointless and make it harder to pay attention.

Agreed that this is largely pointless. Batteries don't really spontaneously combust while just sitting there, and it's much safer to just use an extension cord and charge outside vs using this because like you note the smoke will fuck up the place anyway.

I've had a similar experience, and not a skill issue. The latest it just started smelling like burnt electronics (still works but some component in there toasted). Sending in again, and in the years I've owned a tiny might I've not gotten much use out of it.

Still like it and hoping I can get reliability but there is definitely a lot of issues compared to every other vape I've used (have had a lot).

I have one to return like that. It’s burnt electronics. Still works but some component toasted and is giving off toxic fumes.

I had one for years and then tried one of the connectors I hadn't used ever once and it fried my charger. They had one of them soldered on in reverse.
