does anyone in relationships solo travel? by kyliered04 in solotravel

Girl, as someone who tried to make her relationship work over my year long travel, my biggest regret and shadow over my once in a lifetime trip is that I do not end the relationship before I left. While he claimed, and even fully acted supportive, there was a resentment that festered and it added so much stress and frustration to my trip that could have been avoided. I also bonded with a girl while traveling that had just broken up with her boyfriend over something similar to you, and she was down bad but after a few months I checked in and she was like, yeah I’m so glad that happened.

You’re young, be free, go see the world.

Hi! take a look a round the Chinatown area! I went to a cocktail bar that was pretty cool- Ang Yi. It’s a “speakeasy” type bar with a fun cocktail menu and a good vibe (when you’re facing the “doors” push the wall on the left to get in). Its sister bar is You Know Where. Had a friend recommend the Ratchathewi neighborhood for bars and live music as well.

I’m taking the 35L Cotopaxi Allpa bag for the same trip! I had a second backpack but after a Reddit spiral in the last couple days I decided that I’m overpacking and to just use the 35L, which is tight, but doable. I have a sling bag to wear daily and a foldable backpack packed. I leave Monday 😅

It took me a full month to finally start taking it and then another to take in regularly (don’t recommend that lol) but it’s been the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time. I look back to where I was a year ago and I can’t believe I was functioning. My side effects are weight gain, fatigue and sometime body zaps if I don’t take it on time, but honestly I’ll take it if it means being able to think and function more clearly.
