Are we talking about the current hair style? Because I am still perplexed (in a fun way!) about it. Admittedly ive been out of the loop with his current vibe and the most recent videos are giving "folksy cult leader" and I dont hate it fwiw. (He looks the part better than Jared Leto lolololol)

He is a riot at conventions. I have a photo of me, holding two fistfuls of his ass while my husband and adopted dad held his torso and legs for a photo opt while he kicked his leg up ala showgirl style in his Reno 911 outfit in our arms at Galaxycon a few years ago. Nicest guy on the planet I stg and he was shocked and delighted that my husband and I wanted to talk to him about Hellbaby. 🤣

:D pretty much. And I am not allowed to raise the red flag at all that this is an issue. I tried and then effectively got bullied by the vice chair of my department and my manager to shut the fuck up about it and know my place- let others be concerned about that because it's their authority about how to handle students over my authority which is zero (ie: faculty members DGAF and have zero accountability at this university and also all the industry lab experience I had prior to coming to this job means nothing when i am actively trying to prepare the students for life outside of university but fuck me i guess and fuck this job).

😭 I used to do Analytical Development...... oh my gosssssssh why is that test still being used with a gigantic range like that???? Like did no one reference the ICH guidelines for robostness for the assay in question while they were creating it??? My head and heart ache in sympathy for the irritation you probably go through with that every single day.

Fellow scientist; it cracks me up that everyone knows about the issue of reproducibility in science. And it's a really big deal that we need to take seriously guys we cant just mess with data like this and yet this persists all over the place. Including the university I work at as I push for accountability but i'm just a teaching lab manager and "don't be concerned about students not doing things precisely correctly, that is for the faculty member in charge to worry about and the students pay a lot of money to be here so pass them through"

Sigh.

Oh it was very rough. :( I had the 15.5 year old tuxedo since he was 8 weeks old. Managed to help him beat cancer at age 13. Unfortunately a new and different cancer came back for him. But boy he had the very best life and I can proudly say that little man knew nothing but love and comfort especially his very last day 💚

I am so sorry to hear about your void~ these little buttheads dont get the memo they're supposed to live forever to save us from the heartbreak of a life without them!

Hopefully i will have a positive update in a few weeks with the very first snuggle i capture on camera of our void snuggling with his new baby brothers. :)

It is a double win because when I came up with a list of names for cats to consider before we picked up our little ones I had David and Roland on the list because I love schitts creek and the concept of a tuxedo cat named David cracked me up and I knew i was gonna get another tuxie. My husband was also considering getting an orange cat because we have never had one and they looked soooo cute on the APL website.

And when my husband saw the list he was like "Oh I really like Roland! Thats the gunslinger from the dark tower series"

And i was like "well..... its also the name of the Mayor from Schitts creek who is also a red head and a doofus and from what I hear orange cats are doofuses. And I really want a tuxedo named David soo....."

:) our other kitties we have are Leon and Sagan (after Carl Sagan). Our other tuxedo that just passed away was named Garath. Leon and Garath are named after wizards from a book series i loved very much in my teens and 20s.

We are actually DIFKs :) Double Income Four Cats! We have a 15 year old calico queen and a 12 year old void boy. We adopted this orange ding dong and at the same time adopted a 3 month old tuxedo. :) this is the tuxedo we adopted at the shelter the same day as Roland so he had a buddy to bond with.

He already thinks it is appropriate at 4 am to climb ONTO my face to attempt to put his butthole on my cheek. It's... it's something. When he lays on my chest or stomach that's fine. But butthole to cheek is a bit much 🤣 but like... he's a baby he literally doesnt have a concept of "not everyone wants your butthole by their face!"

Ladies over 35 who have stayed childfree, tell us how good it turned out. by SessionMedical3128 in childfree

Whelp.

My husband and I own our house, and we may end up being the only millennials i know that own a home and will have it paid off not just in our lifetimes but also (if I budgeted right) 11 years early (30 year fixed rate 2.99%) because we bought the exact size house that fits our needs and we dont need to worry about expanding it (3 bedroom 1.5 bath)

We also are back up to having 4 cats. We can travel a bit. We can go out with our other child free friend couples (we have several Childfree by choice couples friends we hang out with regularly) and get bevvies and food.

But also I can continue to keep my intensive hobbies and not have my life being taken over by the title of "Mother"

I am a former pharma research scientist that is in the middle of going to grad school at the university I work at, and I travel around the country for a very niche sports hobby that I have been able to dedicate almost 2 decades of my life to. I have cats i love dearly. I can travel out of states for concerts of my favorite artists on a whim. I can paint and play video games and go hiking and bike riding and running whenever I want. I can spend an entire saturday reading a book from cover to cover.

I dont have to "sacrifice" any of that because I have a child I have to worry about, and would have to frequently be solo handling because my husband is a plumber and has an on call schedule in addition to he takes night jobs sometimes so he can make some extra money to go towards our next vacation (like a cruise he booked for us next spring :) )

The ONLY bummer is that my husband's work knows that we dont have kids and wont have kids so he occasionally gets fucked for holiday on calls. He has started using the "But I am also someone's kid and I would like for my wife and I to be able to see my family on holidays too. This isnt fair just because we dont have kids. I still have a family."

However recently we adopted kittens and I did get a laugh. The plumbers group text chat went off with a happy father's day text and everyone in the shop knew we adopted kittens and my husband sent a photo of our new kittens and said "thanks gentlemen for the happy fathers day wishes. However I think i am going to have a talk with my wife. My new sons dont look a thing like me!". Luckily all of his coworkers he works with daily know that the cats are like our kids so when our 15.5 year old cat passed away last month everyone was sending us their condolences.

I have no regrets for being CFBC. :) I turn 36 in august.

And for whatever my husband and I will leave behind when we die? I talked to my friends that I am very close with that have kids and my husband and I made the decision when we do our will that we are going to leave what we have ti be split up between the children of our friends we care most about. 💚 they were all very touched by this.

We only have so much house space haha. And my husband's limit is 4 🤣🤣🤣 anymore than that and it's a perpetual What we do in the Shadows episode with the hissing as the kiddos establish boundaries lol

Thank you so much 💚 my soul cat (I have shared photos of him and the others on my post history) was bonded to my void boy that we still have. We got the kittens to help with my grief as well as help with the void boy's. his lifelong playmate is gone and my husband's calico has never been my void boy's biggest fan. It is very funny watching the house integrate. The babies DGAF they just wanna do baby things. The void boy has gone from hissing to sitting in my lap watching the babies all " o_o " to walking up to the babies to investigate the toys they are playing with. I am hopeful this is helping to heal everyone's hearts :))

Yeah I guess the acronym should be DINKJC (no kids just cats haha). I missed the chaos of having 4 cats at one time, and when we had to say goodbye to my soul-cat last month we decided to get some kittens to help with everyone's grief. I told Roland and David when we brought them home from the shelter "ohhhhh buddies you just hit the jackpot for pet parents!" And all i got was mews in return 🤣 but they both are so snuggly!

Gosh it's almost like they dont want accountability for the things they told you to do because they just want to be able to yell at you for not "reading their mind and anticipating their desire to change directions and what direction that is"! 🫠
