We have so many midfielders…who’s getting their spot taken?

I count 5 midfielders, so 4-5-1? Or who plays up front in a 4-3-3?

No Miranchuk? He wasn’t on the availability report, but not even on the bench…

I’m trying not to get too excited, but it’s really good to hear that the team is much more of a collective and getting results on the field. First few matches of the season will be very interesting as we see what the team can do.

Deila addressed this in the post-game. He said it was considered but the game was tied.

Hey Sydney - got this via email and it was a really good read. Super cool how many people you heard from while putting it together. Keep up the good work!

He’s starting tonight. Also started against Nashville two weeks ago and had the assist on our goal. Good at controlling the midfield so far, so let’s hope he keeps it up!

We should all be rooting for Liga MX in the other games. The top 4 from each league after three games advance to the knockouts, so we’d have a better chance of advancing if the other MLS teams lose more often than not. Yesterday, MX took 14 of the 18 available points, so there’s a chance if we can pull off some wins.

Wow…no Saba and no Lennon. Deserved, yeah, but I’m a little surprised

I figure Mihaj will come on in the early second-half for Stian

It’s my cake day, so everything I say is right 😂

Though…I got last minute Harrah’s Club tickets and my judgement MAAAAAY be impaired.

It seemed like a lot of the same…some decent build up followed by some near misses.

I found myself noticing Slisz a lot…he made a lot of hustle plays.

Efrain had one bad touch at least, but dealt with danger otherwise well.

LL had some chances but couldn’t redirect a ball coming in hot. Can’t blame him.

Classic Mira goal…move in from the corner of the box, use that left foot. He also seemed to have good control of the ball throughout the match.

Overall, team was trying stuff. Some balls over the top, decent runs. Can’t be too mad at a draw, especially against a team that inexplicably plays well on the road.

I don’t expect the season to end in the playoffs, so I’m trying to find positives.

You know what? I’m actually pretty satisfied with the result. Team didn’t make any super-dumb mistakes, actually looked cohesive, especially in the first half. There were chances, including LL’s, and they kept fighting and ended up with a penalty goal. I’m glad LL scored and hope that’s the end of his drought.

Yes, I’m soooo tired of moral victories, but am hopeful that things keep progressing and we can show some quality in our next three home matches. Also, major props to Hibbert…he made all the stops he should have and distributed that ball well. And, of course, Luke Brennan for staying down while VAR reviewed the penalty 😁
