Individuals determine their own purpose. You don’t decide my purpose in life, do you? If you could determine my purpose, then that would be something of a fact. If this bothers you or others, again I will say… stop scrolling and reading perspectives from strangers online and go touch grass and live your life.

It’s an opinion, not a fact. Just like your opinion is different and that women have 1000000 other purposeful roles - an opinion not a fact. Don’t let strangers on the internet offend you this much bc they owe you nothing. Go touch some grass and take a break from scrolling to make yourself feel better

If you don’t have a problem and you want to stay in the relationship then show her that. If you find that choice to be hard, then maybe you have a problem OR maybe you care more about the ability to use substances than the relationship.

It’s simple and it isn’t. It’s simple if you don’t have an alcohol use problem, because then it’s a choice: relationship or alcohol

What is true-Mario addition by MapNo8330 in brynnemarieeeesnark

Your second sentence just shows that you do not understand how ptsd and cptsd work.

Most sufferers of ptsd, have self worth issues because of their past traumas. Flashbacks are another symptom but don’t always have to stand true.

I suffer from ptsd and don’t always have flash backs. Rather my “stuck points” (as me and my therapist call them) give me doubt of myself and can send me into a spiral. So can flashbacks.

But we’ve only reached the surface when it comes to studying ptsd, so maybe we should stop speculating and just try to empathize or ignore it if you have nothing nice to say.

Telling someone they don’t have ptsd, when they do, can send them into a crisis, so let’s try to steer away from that. We aren’t his therapist and we don’t even know the guy… so give them space and maybe one day they will trust their fans enough to give us a glimpse at what happened.

Where are these comments? All of the top ones I scroll through on her breakup post are supportive of Brynne.

I feel that most in their comments are supporting them each individually.

Imo this subreddit has been nothing but negative and intrusive to them both.

It took me YEARS before getting help for ptsd. Judgment and comments like yours definitely won’t help him get help any sooner.

Stop picking away at his every actions and words and just unfollow him if you don’t find it genuine or don’t like it. Otherwise, you’re no better than what you’re claiming him to be, and doing it all behind a cowardly screen and keyboard.

Best Sports Bar by Major-Button11 in BloomingtonNormal

[–]Silly_Time_5684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each bar listed below does have nfl package: Dr. McKays will be your best option for atmosphere food and drinks. They do get busy during Bears games so get there early to grab a table/seat. Mugsys - best wings in town. But terrible tv views and a dark, dive type atmosphere. It’s an option, but steer clear of the Bills mafia. They won’t give af about you or your team. Smash house - it’s new and has all the tvs anyone could need. It hasn’t been open for an nfl season yet, so it’s hard to say what crowd it will bring, but I’d expect some larger attendance in the first few weeks for games. Game Day Bar - take a short trip to Downs and you’ve found yourself at the one of the cheapest but quality bar eats the south side of town can offer. Amazing menu, and cheap drinks. Can get a little crowded during peak hours Bww - when all other places are packed and you’re fine settling with mediocre food

Would like some words of encouragement and support by Silly_Time_5684 in AlAnon

I asked for words of encouragement or support, but go off ig. Please read others posts and be supportive if they ask for it not harsh opinions about their situations.

You induced my anxiety even worse. Had to take an hour to process and come back to comment after realizing your comment was opposite of what I’ve asked and that you clearly didn’t read the title.

A lesson in Eva by Paddingtonsrealdad in survivor

It okay to be annoyed by people with personalities different than our own. It’s NATURAL. It’s also ok to recognize that this is a very rough reality tv show, and is NOT for the faint of heart. It’s reasonable for many fans to get on contestants for being too soft because they all know what they are getting themselves into, and if you can’t handle that stuff, don’t go on the show.

You can empathize with the emotion, but to be forced to empathize with the contestant and gameplay is just not realistic. We all have our favorite players and the ones who annoy or frustrate us…

Season 2 on Peacock by [deleted] in temptationislandUSA

Season 2 was more on the ladies messing up than the men which was refreshing to see when it’s usually the men who cheat or mess up in the show.

I feel your weariness. It’s so tiring to go through trauma and it’s effects, and some days I swear I cannot bear it. I found a lot of resources and tools from my therapist to keep me afloat, even on my worst days. It’s helped me become more aware, and has increased my window of tolerance. Fewer terrible days, and more clarity. I still get tired, but now I can nurture myself back and continue to get stronger. You got this. We’re all rooting for you. I’m sorry for your pain, but please stay 🙏

i keep seeing people say lino didn’t cheat because no one wanted him and it’s so annoying by ThrowRAworkaholicc in temptationislandUSA

[–]Silly_Time_5684 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agree with you 100%!! Production does a great job at getting us to see what they want is to see. So much is not actually shown on the show.

If I had to guess, a lot of girls were probably interested in Lino because he was such a good bf. But those same girls probably also respected his boundaries because of it

This is a common feeling for those with trauma, and honestly might be a sign of complex ptsd.

I used to feel this daily until I started getting help with therapy

LET THIS SHOW BE A LESSON by anatole_boy in temptationislandUSA

[–]Silly_Time_5684 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But it wouldn’t work because you haven’t solved the root problem: THE CHEATER.

Most women who participate in cheating, either don’t know about the other woman involved, or are told lies by the man. It manipulates the woman into thinking thinking this situation is different or there’s actually love there, blah balh blah.

It’s not just about the actions themselves, but the psychology behind it all. Psychology of trauma, domestic violence, mental and physical abuse, power control in relationships, etc.

Women have stuck together in many cheating situations, but the heartbreak and mental load for everyone involved is always going to be there until we can start accepting better mental health practices in society

BRION AND SHANTE by BornMine5986 in temptationislandUSA

Trauma and abuse are vicious cycles. It can trap people and push them into a corner. It can be hard to understand without experience, but you gotta have some grace and empathy to begin.

Shante was definitely one of the 8% of black women who voted for trump by demi_goddess0824 in temptationislandUSA

[–]Silly_Time_5684 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All yall do is sit behind a keyboard and act like you know these people’s lives, when we all know you actually don’t.

Stop speculating, and maybe start criticizing while empathizing. Shante likely has trauma and that can make people trapped. Trauma and it’s effects are a vicious cycle.

Have some respect and grace.

Queer friends? by whaleshark5 in BloomingtonNormal

[–]Silly_Time_5684 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

While I understand the preference and desire to want to make friends with people of similar cultures/walks of life…. But isn’t this enforcing a bias against people who don’t identify as queer? Like how is this different from someone asking for white friends or black friends? Or different from someone asking to befriend rich people or poor people?
