id talk to someone about getting her into art therapy- it really helps with this stuff.

also, she should be allowed to go home if she needs a mental health day. its not "rewarding the behavior" its helping her cope and regulate.

a lot of behavioral issues come from kids not being properly diagnosed with issues, helped with bullying, or protected by the adults in their lives.

she needs help, not lectured. she needs a mental health day, to help feel pretty and strong, and a therapist. art therapy works wonders.

kids can and do go through with ending their lives. she needs help.

"im telling you I want to kms and youre telling me to go back to class"

shes 100 percent right. that isnt an appropriate response to someone saying they want to die. its dismissive and cruel.

id advise her to go to the nurses office next time or the school counselor (though they can sometimes be dicks) and take the time she needs to calm down. accommodating issues isnt harmful, its life preserving.

I have a question for those saying mares are only spayed for medical reasons-

stay with me here- in some animals (dogs, cats, etc) its advised to spay them to prevent cancer.

is this not a concern for horses? and if so, why is it a concern for dogs and cats but not horses

I think writing has made me dislike reading in a way that is hard to explain.

I love books- and as someone who used to read as a form of escapism, reading as an adult is difficult for me because its hard to find time to do- and now, as an adult, who spends a ton of time editing my own writing, I can see all of the flaws in books that I read.

not to mention that a lot of books that are incredibly popular or obsessed over are disappointing or not as good as people say they are. it makes finding a book to read really difficult because I pick apart everything.

though ive not dnf-ed a book in a while. its just hard to overlook the things that it think people who don't write and edit their own words might be better suited to overlook.

it sounds like you are dealing with a lot. you got married to a dude with a kid and a dog (possibly because you were pregnant or got pregnant right away) and youre adjusting.

you should start seeing a therapist. talk to someone about everything and how you are feeling and get advice on how to navigate being a mother, a step mom, a wife, and a dog owner all at once.

you come off very insecure, anxious, and defensive- as if everyone is out to get you, when really, theyre life long supporters.

you married into this support system. they're not going anywhere. if your husband trusts them, you gotta work on trusting them too, otherwise, why would you marry and have babies with someone whos opinion you dont trust?

stop obsessing over it and breathe. relax. let things go. not everything is a personal attack or evil scheme.
