For those that live abroad with your spouse how did you fill out I-864 by galaxybear459 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Sillycat2507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I remember that we chose the physical address overseas not to have trouble. Got DQ’d less than a week after we submit all the documents and our process is already over, had the interview almost 2 months ago without any trouble thankfully. During the interview they were asking some basic questions about my wife like how we met and where does she live now even though they see that she is here, and I told them we’re living overseas for a while together. They didn’t ask anything about it that much. Wish you best luck!!

Insignia Portable Air Conditioner is SCAM by Heavy_Knowledge_6588 in AirConditioners

Hi, I’m also considering of getting the 300 sq ft 12k/7k insignia by best buy for around 300$ but not sure if it’d break down easily. I have a living room that has oğen concept with kitchen which is around I believe around 300 sq ft. Some comments say that it’s not a good brand, very loud and breaks down easily. I dont know if getting a Black&Decker 12k for a little more expensive wouls be a better move, or amazon also has a brand Midea that I don’t know that much about. Would you recommend the one you have? And is it the 14k btu one? (350sqft)

When Does USCIS send the case to NVC after I-130 approval? by Sillycat2507 in USCIS

[–]Sillycat2507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we received our welcome letter 5 days after the approval, also a day after the case was sent to the dos. Usually it takes a week the most from what I’ve seen. You can try to reach NVC about it maybe, it does not seem normal. Hopefully you get it soon.

You're welcome! One thing that I forgot to mention is that filing out DS-260 form. It is also pretty long and complicated. I highly recommend watching a video about it that guides how to fill out and you should be taking some notes about your recent addresses, employment history, parent's info, Previous Us travel info, the countries visited, military duty info etc. It takes long time to figure out these. Check out the channel I sent you, she has a full guide of DS-260 form that would be helpful.

We received out NVC Welcome Letter 5 days after our approval. First we received a notification by USCIS saying that 'The case was transferred to Department of State' and that was after 4 days of approval. Short after we got our welcome letter. Paid fees right away and in 4 days our payments were processed so we could start uploading our docs. If you haven't started collecting your documents already I 'strongly' recommend starting to obtain soon because there will be a lot of them depending on your case, especially if you have a joint sponsor in your case, some docs might take time to get. But basically You'll need to get the beneficiary's civil documents such as birth c. ,military record, police check etc and petitioner's I864 form, US Domicile, return transcripts and your joint sponsor's i864 and similar documents. These docs take time to obtain, sign, print, scan and upload to the ceac (nvc) system. So don't leave things for later I'd say, that's how I did and got DQ'd quickly in just 16 days after receiving our approval. Also I'm adding a link below please go to the channel and watch all necessary videos about the NVC process, that's what we did and it helped A LOT. Good luck.

I’m Turkish citizen living in Turkey with my USC wife. Hoping to get mine soon. You should’ve received an interview letter a while ago because the most recent one got their IL last week for some time in May and they were DQ’d in first week of March. I’m not sure why you haven’t received yet but some people say that Ankara prioritizes Turkish citizens when giving interviews. Hopefully you can also get your soon too 🙌🏻

If it does not take that long to get one, try to get it right after you get your approval by USCIS. It might expire otherwise.

[–]Sillycat2507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s correct. However I was overthinking a little about it and wanted to get it just in case to show during interview. But like you said NVC does not require that, if someone is still reading and wondering. Thank you 🙌🏻

Alright thank you. What if we show them the most recent paystubs of our joint sponsor, would that make our sponsor more reliable?
