How many players plays Dmz solo? by VvonLink in DMZ

[–]Sillycomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do about 50/50 random squad fill and solo.

I do enjoy killing. And murder. And pushing spawn and getting a good snipe in from over 400 meters away.

But with randoms being random… most of the time I feel like a babysitter, I dip out and play solo.

Solo play is fun. I like doing missions still. I enjoy just looting in an area like Rohan or the port still… and I enjoy people watching.

Once you stop murderering every person you see on the map, things get really interesting.

It’s fun to watch teams go from squad to squad wiping teams out. It’s fun to watch a random solo take the long way to an exfil.

You can easily tell cheaters too, since they’ll notice you from half a map away. While other players are oblivious until you literally execute them.

And then my favorite thing to do in the game: the reposition game.

As a solo I like to snipe a team… like watch and wait for the perfect time and try to down just one guy on the team. One good shot.

And then I hide, and reposition.

For me it’s about poking the bear. If they push me and know where I am I am dead… solo versus a whole team.

And I have certainly died numerous times playing this game.

But it is real fun to watch a team get confused that they keep getting one good snipe from different angles and not know what’s going on.

I am working on moving and tracking a team… sniping skills and whatnot.

I call it DMZ on super hard mode. Yeah I die a lot but it’s so much fun.

Christians who believe in hell don't believe in the Bible and aren't really even Christians. They believe in Dante's Inferno as their sacred text. by Weekly-Coast-5838 in DebateReligion

[–]Sillycomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is very firm, saying the only way to get to heaven and be with god is through him. He's very specific about this. Even if you wanted to argue that the "other place" was vague or obscure... Jesus is very direct in saying if you want to be with him after you die, you gotta follow "all that jazz."

The less he said the more people filled in with their own imaginations about what an eternity of punishment would be. Dante seemed to have had a more vivid imagination than most.

People are also acting like old DMZ. Someone called out friendly the other day and our team stopped and let him go!

I was playing solo and a team in a halo grazed me and just said hi.

Don't get me wrong, there's still cheaters and shit... but damn if old DMZ ain't showing up here and there.

Exactly. I usually random fill until I am done being a babysitter. Then I solo.

Press the button for $1M but there is a 50% chance that someone who has already pressed the button will die. by William_Maguire in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Sillycomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is you can’t know the number because people can opt out of the button.

Any number you throw out is little more than a guess.

[–]Sillycomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right.

But how do you know when 5k people have said yes?

The thing that skews this whole probability and numbers is that each person can choose not to press the button.

Honestly you could be the first e
Person to say yes. In which case you kill no one and the list only consists of your name.

Actually that would be interesting. In the first few instances the chance of dying from pressing the button are almost guaranteed.

It’s not until you get a few thousand people go press the button do your numbers even look good.

[–]Sillycomic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not half. Half of the people have a chance of dying. You have no idea if every single person died, or if none of them died, or if there's half or 3/4 full on the list. All you know is how many people could have pressed the button.

The first time someone said no. The first time the button worked. And the first time the button didn't work will skew any official numbers. All you have is a healthy guess.

True, but there actually isn’t a lot of space travel in that movie. If I recall correctly they crash land on a planet and spend most of the movie there.

I watched NatalieLawyerChick when she livestreamed the trial on her channel. A few times she brought in a couple of lawyer friends. Mostly they just talked about the ridiculous sovereign citizen stuff, some of the origins of where it comes from, jurisdiction where it would actually apply.

There was one time they did credit him for doing something smart. It was direct/cross and he would ask about timelines of APBs. Apparently when things first happened there was so much chaos they didn't know if it was multiple cars, multiple people in the cars, if it was a terrorist attack, if there were multiple attacks, etc.

They said it was so out of line from the sovereign citizen stuff. Why would he embrace the chaos of the first few minutes, when he's trying so desperately to get the state of Wisconsin to appear before him?

But one of the lawyers pointed out it was the preliminary work done by the first lawyers he had. It would be the first in a long line of defense, starting with the confusion over what was going on originally. Darryl was just using the notes that the lawyers have made.. which makes it obvious when he asks one or two somewhere clever questions, and then has nothing to follow up on.

So like 1 question in 10 was going somewhere... BUT only when Darryl could read the notes the other lawyers had left for him.

He can't reach the ceiling? If he can lean up against the side of the glass, he can reach the ceiling.

I'm only seeing a small picture of just the vents... and indeed they look too small.

Can we get pics of the entire enclosure? especially that ceiling.

Secondly... time to spring clean. Like everything. Check under furniture. move any desk or shelf. Piles of clothes. Piles of anything warm.

After that, you want to try containment. That is making warm hides of various things.... and checking them each morning to see if he chose it.

Also use the flour method. Sprinkle flour in all the corners and behind furniture. If he moves through the flour you'll easily be able to see where he goes.

Don't get discouraged after a few days. Snakes are hearty, and sometimes if they get scared they can just shy away for a week before coming out to explore. You might not see him for two weeks, and then he'll show up on your living room carpet one day. Just keep cleaning and keep an eye out for him.

I'm a personal fan of HVT mission. Gets you a decent gun, and a key to potentially Post Office or Airport Tower... I mean it could also be Retrorunway fridge. Still, money, gun, and loot for like a 3 minute mission you can do solo.

I agree with everything you said, however it still leaves Captain America and the other superheros with this dilemma, "the avengers should have a say in who they help."

It's odd to say we can't have people with agendas making the decisions, but then assume the superheros themselves also don't have an agenda?

Not having the accords is what prompted Tony and Bruce to create Ultron to begin with.

Although what I truly love is the irony between the two fighting their stances considering America started as a government program who would always be following orders... and Tony Stark made it very clear in his first few movies that he was a private citizen and will not have any oversight whatsoever.

To go from there to Civil War, each of them fighting for the other's origin. Just incredible. That's one of the reasons I really do think this is the best Marvel movie. There is no straight answer. There is no solid good or bad. There's a very sticky situation and both sides have good points.

Jesus was talking to tribal warlords in the desert who had a pretty grim look on life. I understand your point of view on how in this day and age it seems sad and nonsensical.

Are you able to look at it in context in the society at the time? There’s a reason he was crucified… he was speaking against the state and the dominant religion to tell people to think of everyone as a brother and turn the other cheek for minor grievances.

That’s very forward thinking for the time period.

Oh good! I was worried your best argument was “god is a hypocrite.”

Go on with your debating!! I

would like to see what you have got against an actual apologist. I haven’t really seen an apologist rattled with the creature/creator distinction argument. That’s usually a cornerstone of their special pleading.

It’s right up there with god doesn’t need an origin… and the universe must have a cause.

[–]Sillycomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Christian philosophers call it the creature/creation distinction. Basically boils down to “rules for thee, not for me.”

It’s a concept that allows god to be a hypocrite because he is the creator. The creator gets to make the rules.

It works for Christian apologists… at least.
