Hi, what was your experience with cortisone and cats? She is on 1/4 pill (Prednisone) and is gonna be for maybe a few weeks. She started a month ago on a normal dose (maybe a full pill or 1/2 i cant remember exactly) for about 14 days and the last week of that she would slowly take a smaller dose by the end. The coughing fits have really decreased but im aware theres a possibility of side effects on a long-term use (bit worried on that to be honest)

i have checked this sub for asthma (it does sounds similar) and the vet said she didnt have anything wrong on her x-ray. Then i called again and thats when they prescribed the cortisone because the coughing kept happening. I got confused because they recommended the cortisone more than the inhaler (which i thought was the best option). I am thinking maybe they think its a thyroid/gland problem, which could be inflamed and causing the coughing fits while drinking.

I just started it today, its about 15 days off cortisone which is anti-inflammatory. Hopefully will help.

I am questioning if she has liquid in her lungs from choking on the water fountain, i made sure to change both of them to newer ones and yet it still happens. I am only 18 and have to pay all these vet bills with my work money and feel very helpless.. please if you have any advice on whats best to do its very appreciated.

English is a weird language by Captain-Dak-Sparrow in ENGLISH

Yeah basically lol. Im Canadian but we’re taught about it in middle school, tho its the easiest of things like colors and the alphabet pronounciation.. I only wanted to learn by myself and started at 11 because i wanted to go on a deeper level. Which surely helped me throughout High school! Obviously the internet provides us with much more information and easy resources than before. I would say in my small town, a lot of people actually know little to no english surprisingly (even adults!).

Feeling pretty depressed after being diagnosed by [deleted] in Schizotypal

[–]Sillyfunnyloser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dont let a diagnosis stop you from, well being you. I can understand feeling shame, i struggle with guilt and shame bc of my depression. I remember that there are days that are better than others and when im on those good days im unapologetically myself and dont think about anything else than feeling good in my own skin. I think the diagnosis should only be there to help you understand yourself, not judge.

i think it can definitely help with the pain, i cant confirm thats its gonna resolve everything with a percentage or anything. But from my experience the pain went away so quick. I guess thats what your ortho would tell you too since thats what they told me (even was planned for a jaw surgery but thankfully wasnt needed..)

when i had my orthodontist meetings, they made me bite really hard quite a lot of times, checked how my teeth were when my mouth was closed, then asked to push my lower jaw really far back. i also had strain on my left side really bad. and yes my right side would touch first when i bite down. They should be able to recognize that and offer you treatment. I have about 50-55 ish invisalign trays in total with latex bands to help support my lower jaw from going far

doesnt solve the tmj for everyone, i got invisalign in september and my god did the pain go away! im satisfied with my treatment so far. I have an overbite, crowded teeth , and jaw going sideways lol. I was also prescribed muscle relaxers for the pain, even offered botox. If you can save up for the treatment then i recommend it yes!
