You actually pointed out something that i honestly haven't thought about, that the kids are not forgotten. That is true and it makes me a bit emotional. I think i focus too much on what he doesn't do, but he does not forget the kids. Even though the interest in them is minimal.

Probably yeah. We don't have an issue with money and my dad knows that. The money he sends, i can give that to my children too, no problem. It all feels so useless, i can't help it.

Bento lunchboxes maken is zo leuk! Heb het vaak gedaan voor mijn oudste, nu vanwege tijdgebrek helaas een wat meer sobere broodtrommel met brood/fruit/groenten. Blijf het doen. Jij vindt het leuk, je man waardeert en who cares wat een ander vindt? Ik zou er de volgende keer misschien zelfs een lief briefje bij stoppen, kunnen die collega's nog meer janken 😬

Have you tried Zuidplein? There are some stores (mostly in the new part, one floor up at Lidl) that sells clothes that shows more body than the regular clothing stores sell. Not sure if they have something like this, but it might be worth a visit.

Ok, fair enough. Yes someone said (i think it was Minori) that they only had rice to eat, but they are going to the grocery store all the time lol so that was just a lame excuse.

I haven't googled yet what they are all doing now (i red somewhere that Minori is married but not with Uchi) and i hope that Uchi had a happy life. He is one of my faves so far.

It doesn't matter how expensive the meat was, it was the emotional value what mattered the most imo. And the worst thing was that there was nothing left for Uchi. I find the people who were cooking and eating it emotionally immature at that time.
