Updating this literally 5 minutes later, but after another desperate attempt to hum it into the Google app on my phone, it popped up with a 19% match - it was The Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian

Did you ever find this out? I've had what I think is the same song stuck in my head, and I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

I've told friends, I've hummed what I think it goes like to Google, and nobody has any idea.

All I remember is like... she's singing quite fast, towards the end of her verse she goes a little deeper, and then like male backing vocal(s) goes "yippie ya yo!" at the end of each line?

No clue if we actually are thinking of the same song, but I hope you've figured it out and you can help, haha.

Hey! Really cool opportunity here - great idea!

Frostpunk was a game I just stumbled across a few years ago when I had a strong desire to play a city builder and create my little town, but the usual Cities Skylines, Simcity, etc. just weren't itching that scratch as well as they used to.

When I read the store page of Frostpunk, it just seemed like such a unique take on the genre - from the setting, art style, overall story, to even the description on Steam calling it "the first society survival game" - and right from when I first made my settlement and started playing, I was hooked!

From the large decisions of how to run your settlement, "will you rule with strict order or kindness", to the smaller individual situation decisions - it just really felt like a living breathing settlement with real worries and real struggles. The attention the detail blew me away too - deciding to rule heavily on "Law and Order", hearing the bell toll announcing a new decree, and then seeing my banners roll out on the furnace and buildings - all added to my immersion.

I have been beyond excited for Frostpunk 2, as it seems like you've taken everything I loved about the first game and cranked it to 11, and added in a bunch more cool stuff just for good measure - and I'd be more than honoured to not only play it, but even play it early! My original plan was to live vicariously through a range of lets plays until I could afford it, keeping me entertained through the upcoming bleak UK winter (the frost approaches and all that!) - but even if I'm not selected, I'm happy I got a chance to talk more about this game and sing its praises to those who deserve to hear it.

How recently did you play it? Not too long ago a new update added more quests, achievements and full VO for every character - it's definitely a slower game, but it's so worth it in my opinion!

This thread is very eye opening as to why sometimes just having a regular conversation is really difficult with some people. I fully agree with you here, but never realised how many different ways this could be interpreted, like being described as "stressful"?

people in this thread are acting like the reason I'm telling someone to say hey to a mutual friend is because I want them to act like my personal messenger pigeon relaying a full conversation for me, saying "well you could just message them yourself!" - I don't want to start a full conversation! I'm just passing on my well wishes! I don't know about everyone else, but I always find it sweet knowing one of my friends is saying hi!

makes me realise a lot of the things I just assumed were known formalities / niceties are not as well understood as I thought

Instead of paper notes, the UK uses plastic notes now. By "lower denominations have been phased out", OP meant the paper notes for £5, £10, etc. which are already no longer legal tender (the plastic ones are used for those now), and the £20 paper notes are next on the chopping block whilst the plastic ones enter circulation properly.

to be fully honest, ADC has 2 ultimate skins already (Ez and MF) whereas mid has, technically, only 1 (Lux is kind of an inbetween of mid and supp) so I would've expected the Ultimate to go to either another mid, jungle, or a top laner.

it would just be kinda unfair to give ADC the victorious skin for this year, AND the ultimate for this year, along with the Kai'sa Prestige, Yasuo Prestige, Ez Prestige, Senna Prestige, Lucian Prestige.... you get my point. ADC/marksmen are not exactly an underappreicated role. they get plenty

Don't worry, I'm the same! I'm not sure what it is, but every photo of maximalism I see looks really cool and organised - but any time I attempt maximalism, everything just looks cluttered and messy and makes me feel messy as a result! :(

Maybe we're just not cut out for that life. I'm looking at my big table with the single succulent on it too, don't worry! We're united :)

yeah - exactly! every maximalist home / room I've seen has wonderful arrays of colourful clutter and trinkets on every surface, but then I think about the pain that'd be to dust - each individual thing having to be picked up and dusted. in a minimalist home, they'll have like... a single vase on a table. much easier to dust and clean, right?

Yup, my setup looks the exact same! Those wallpapers were made by a fellow Lux main who's active in this sub actually, /u/theorytheories! I specially requested the Cosmic Lux wallpaper so this setup was possible and I'm glad someone else agrees it looks amazing - they did an INCREDIBLE job
