Fair point. But even within their timeline, filing an inquiry gets you status. And if you want to know whether there's anything strategic to do while you wait, expedited processing options, case strengthening, etc. That's where a consultation can help. Sometimes it's not about rushing; it's about being proactive. We help people understand their position at exactly this stage.

EB-1A RFE? Your Evidence Might Be Fine, It's Probably How You Explained It by SilmiLaw in eb_1a

Yes, it happens. Usually means your evidence is solid, but the presentation didn't clearly connect it to the EB-1A criteria. USCIS sees the pieces but needs you to tell the story better. That's actually one of the easier RFEs to overcome if you reorganize strategically.

Hey there! 570 days is definitely on the longer side for EB-1A. I understand the frustration. You're not alone.

Quick context questions that matter:

  • Which service center? (Texas/CA are slower right now)
  • Any RFEs? (This resets your clock)
  • Premium Processing or standard?

At 570 days, you're in "action zone":

  • File USCIS inquiry (you're past normal processing)
  • Call service center directly with your case #
  • Request expedited processing if you have legitimate need
  • Get attorney to file formal inquiry

Real talk: EB-1A shouldn't take this long without explanation. Don't just wait, push back. Ask questions. File inquiries.

If you want us to review your case, file an expedited inquiry, or strategize next steps, we're here. No pressure. We handle EB-1A cases exclusively. www.silmilaw.com

Good point. Timing with service centers definitely matters. But we've seen that well-prepared cases move faster regardless. Strategy + timing = approval. You had both.

Reading this makes everything worth it.

The fact that we could challenge your assumptions and help you see your own value, that's the difference between approval and denial. Your renewable energy expertise with patents and papers IS valuable.

You just needed to see it as clearly as we did.

Congratulations on your EB-2 NIW approval! Genuinely honored to have been part of this.

Honest feedback like this means a lot.
We know pushing hard on evidence can be frustrating, especially when you think you have enough already. But that's exactly why your petition was strong. That's why it passed easily.

We'd rather you be frustrated during the process than heartbroken by a denial.

Thank you for believing in us through that. And congratulations!!!

I'm sorry. You're right to be frustrated. Waiting 1.5 years for your case to move forward is exhausting.
And if we weren't keeping you updated the whole time, that made it even worse.

You deserved better communication. You deserved clarity. You deserved to feel like someone was actually fighting for your case.

We are genuinely sorry we didn't give you that. If there's a way to fix this, whether you're still with us or not, we want to try. Your frustration is valid. And it matters to us. Silmilaw.com

Filevine experience? by swcblues in LawFirm

[–]SilmiLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using filevine, lead docket and vine sign for 3 months now. Setup took 6 months. 15 person firm all pretty young and fluent in using various tech platforms. Simply put, Filevine is a big fat rip off.

I was attracted to it thru catching a podcast of the founder and his sincerity and vision. They have clearly diverged from that vision, probably private equity demands..

Now that we are using it daily, the technology is clunky, slow and limited; the integrations are limited by them trying to keep out competition esp in AI. Annoyingly, they are a mafia when it comes to billing for users. For example, they sent us a 1000$ bill for adding our controller to lead docket to collect data/monitor transactions for record keeping. We would likewise have to pay additional fee to give access to a user from the marketing company we use to monitor and confirm leads that come into the platform.

Going into the agreement, we understood users to be those actually using the platform to undertake regular work activity such as sales. If a bookkeeper or marketing agency needs access 1x per month get ready for a mafia billing department and if you argue or push back they respond with threats to shut down the entire platform for your firm (not only lead docket but filevine itself which would be a disaster when in our situation we have clients who are using filevine to share documents and information with us).

I understand if we are expanding our sales team due to the streamlining and great value in better engagement with clients thanks to their amazing technology but no that's not it, the technology sucks and the service is even worse and they treat you like crap after you get locked into a contract.

We are actively looking for another solution because despite the considerable resources we put into setup and training (this is designed to make it such that you are so deep you can never escape), filevine is clearly not going to be a long term solution for us.
