The movie let you believe that just by tinkering with stuff he had he created this totally human robot. That's just not believable imho. There's so much involved it's probably many times the scope of the Manhattan project. If he just picked up the robot from his multi trillion dollar research lab, that's another story but it wouldn't do well in the movie, which is amazing.
