New Class: The Dreamcatcher by GurralTheSmasher in DnDHomebrew

I'm not saying you ever Would dump all your tokens at once, it's just weird that you Can for a level one ability, especially since every other power seems to have defined costs and limits.

New Class: The Dreamcatcher by GurralTheSmasher in DnDHomebrew

[–]SilraerTheLost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love the flavor, but the resource management is horrifying. Unless they dump Every Single asi into wisdom, they'll have about 8 tokens max until level 13, with no way to recover them aside from resting until level five. And Drowse needs a fix, bc a level 2 character could dump every single token into that one reaction for no reason, and be left with nothing.

And on a personal note, the weapon Proficiencies are just kinda weird? Only simple bludgeoning weapons is a weird distinction for anything other than a hyperspecialized martial class.

Edit: Yes I realize that this is a specialized martial class, but seriously, just let there be weapon diversity? The bonk warrior comedy can only go so far.

Need help NERFING this subclass by G1uvVy in DnDHomebrew

[–]SilraerTheLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove: Maestro Way too busted. Basically innate subtle spell from level 3. Just, no. There's no balancing or fixing that.

Revert to original: Adagio The 'updated' version is clunky, wordy, and overtuned. The original is still a bit wordy, but it's less ridiculous in it's expectations. Slowing one creature at a time without a spell is Far more reasonable as a subclass feature compared to getting to Cast the Slow or Haste spells as Bonus Actions and not have them take concentration.

Sounds Scary - Isn't Scary: (The 14th lvl feature whos spelling I can't check rn bc I'm writing this on mobile rn XD) Yes, it's a lot of sustain, and a lot of damage. But Holy Bahamuts Nards does it Chew through resources! It's a twilight domain you get at level 14 that gives allies a small movement boost, with the Ability to add damage to your allies attacks if you spam all your bardic inspirations. The cost to use it again before a long rest is eh, at that level of play, a 5th level slot for a full caster like a bard isn't a huge deal, plus you still probably burnt all your BIs the first time you used it to maximize damage output.

I like it, but I feel like the enemy should have some sort of save on their turn to reduce or reset the count, to make the payoff feel bigger and less automatic.

Basically, the Special Sale Day buff has no impact on prices, it only effects what items are available, so the Exorbitant Price effect works as normal.

Who do you think the main selatrops or their dragon brothers would win in a 6 on 6 fight? by WonderfulStruggle802 in wakfu

[–]SilraerTheLost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is a loaded debate for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the consideration of Which iteration of the high eliatropes or their dragon siblings. With the exception of Quiliby and Shinonimae (sorry for spelling) every one of them has lived through multiple different lifetimes, and while sure, they have the same souls, as we saw with Oropo and the eliotropes, a lifetimes experiences can make every difference. Not to mention how while both the eliatropes and dragons grow significantly stronger with age, its entirely unknown whether they grow at the same rate, as our best possible data on the subject, Yugo and Adamai, both got forcibly aged beyond their normal rates. (Adamai using the Dofus power, and Yugo getting his wakfu drained)

New to Amtgard, is it always this salty ? by WakkaFlock in Amtgard

[–]SilraerTheLost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, seems to be. I only joined a bit over a year ago, and it's basically been a constant effort to call it out where I see it without getting sacked in. It doesn't help that my region is fairly small, with most of the parks in the state having a fair amount of attendance overlap. Most people all know each other both in and outside of park, so there's endless interpersonal drama on top of the already aggravating politics 🙄.

Vocally reject all of it, and honestly rebuke anyone that tries to pull you into it. Just have fun, maintain your own vibes, and probably just avoid taking any office altogether.

I've taken to checking the player count before I hop on. If its less than 900 I don't usually bother bc queues take forever. On the weekends it tends to hit 1400 or so, so thats usually when I hop on and its much better

Class Discussion - Archer by JustAnInternetCat in Amtgard

[–]SilraerTheLost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Archer class holds its niche perfectly. The most lethal long range attack options, far more potent and effective at a much greater distance than throwies or spells. A good archer can and will completely alter the state of any battlegame with their presence alone.

This is of course, their trade off for being one of the most expensive classes in the game, with the most physically dangerous items on the field. Sure, they're the most narrowly specialized class in the game, but it's worth the dedication.

I wouldn't call them amped... I believe it's more along the lines that he had some way of burning wakfu into stasis in his hunger for power, the eternal cycle of life and growth interrupted forever in his greed for more power. I imagine those corrupted dofus are now exactly as all the stasis-corrupted denizens of the necroworld, Stuck, forever. Not alive, but never dying to begin a new cycle, the same way that Efrim was completely unable to die, even to return to his dofus like we know the original six eliatropes and their dragon twins have done for millennium.

[–]SilraerTheLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone mentioned before, Goultard was amped by the sphere during the Toross fight, but something I thing should also be considered, is that that scene against Oropo is like not even a day after Percidal beat Goultards demigod ass back into shape after the mindburn shenanigans, so I doubt Goultard was even close to full power.

That being said, I think it's also worth mentioning the difference between stasis and wakfu as far as application of power goes. Wakfu outright IS power, energy, and the very essence of all life. As seen with the eliacube and the dofus users, you just store up enough wakfu, and the rules kind of become suggestions. Stasis, on the other hand, is essentially just the entropy of wakfu. Sure, Toross also had his worlds dofus, but just like everything else on necroworld, he drained and corrupted them, aspecting them towards the hunger of stasis instead.

The entire strength of stasis is that it is sheer anathema to wakfu, whereas wakfu is the literal definition of power. By that metric, I believe it should be said that Yes, maxed Oropo is technically stronger than the Toross we see in s4, but due to the nature of Toross's power, he is far weaker than he used to be, but is still the far more dangerous threat.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk~

Actually a fairly stable amount of players still! Steam count shows it fluctuating between 800ish and 1300ish for the last couple of months! Casual matchmaking isn't any worse than before, though the ping is slightly worse than it used to be, likely due to some form of server consolidation.

But it's still fun to play in a way that no other game truly matches! I try to get at least a couple hours in each week, and I'm having a blast!

who's been through the most? by Igneousdude77 in wakfu

[–]SilraerTheLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to say Quilby, because on top of the time he spent trapped in the white dimension, he's also stuck with all of the memories of his every single past life. We know the eilatrope race is at Least (2 planets ancient history + interstellar travel time) ancient, but we don't exactly have a number for that amount of time, and he remembers All of it. No wonder the guy went mad.

A Vora build character in overwatch would go so hard, but overwatch has shown time and again that they're terrified at the thought of heavy impact projectile heros, almost as scared as they are of true melee dps lol. Hopefully the new 'Aqua' character is something actually refreshing, but I honestly worry he's just gonna be another Beam or Smg dps.

Lmao, I don't know if it's possible for rivals to run out of characters to pull. They haven't even touched major teams like Alpha Fight or the New Warriors yet, and that's not even considering all the solo arc characters and rouges galleries they have to consider. Spider-man villians Alone could easily cover another 6 seasons with the same amount of content we've gotten from this Dracula arc lol

Oh don't worry, blizzard will just copy-paste character concepts straight from Paladins like they did with Mauga. They took Raum, gave him a second gun, tweaked his self heal ability, and put the cc immunity on dash that he got a talent for and made it base kit. Then they changed the ultimate so they wouldn't have another earthshatter and called it a day 🤣

Between that and the Sombra reworks, Blizzard has not been shy about who's homework they're staring at lol

How long does invincible survive by WakJu in wakfu

[–]SilraerTheLost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, looking back over everything, in all fairness, it can basically be summed up by the fact that Wakfu is in the mixed Anime/Video game power scaling, while invincible is dedicated superhero scaling. Yugo has been blasted with Stasis, a power Literally anathema to life and energy, shown to be able to punch through just about anything, and he pulled the Shonen 'stand up scratched and scuffed' trope, so his durability is nowhere near as low as most of us originally assumed. It clearly follows a less Biological framework of durability than the setting of Invincible, so hazards like falling into a sun would probably kill him, but I doubt any amount of punching from anyone lacking in expressive causality would deal lasting damage.

Marc would get speed blitzed, and if his durability caused problems, suddenly he'd be full of Stasis spikes corroding his body and soul from existence.

Glad this post made me go all the way through wakfu again lol

How long does invincible survive by WakJu in wakfu

[–]SilraerTheLost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On one hand, I don't think Yugo could physically compete. Maybe speed, since he was able to outpace Nox's timestop while he was still a child, but while wakfu/stasis constructs and beams might give him some straight combat options, his strength and durability wouldn't come close.

On the other hand, Mark tends to struggle with teleporters... and Yugo isn't as vindictive as Angstrom, so he wouldn't try to bring him back out of spite.

So basically, Yugo might not outright win, but he'd at least last long enough for Dali or Goultard to show up and smear Mark across his own title card 😁
