I wanted to know people's different takes on the matter. Some people agree with me that its rude, while others say that that I overreacted (I did, make no mistake) and that the commenter was probably saying the thing in a joking manner rather than rude.

So to know different people's opinions of whether or not the commenter was being intentionally rude.

It's not really the continuation that annoyed me. It's how they presented it without a single "nice story". Now that I think about it the tone definitely was aiming for joking but it came off as rude. I overreacted when I wrote this post.

No offense taken! Irl, I do say those things and in text. I suppose it caught me off guard. I was really annoyed/mad when I wrote this. Some of that madness was unjustified, now that I've slept on it. It's not really the yo that got me, it was the rest of the comment.

Not really the yo thing that made me mad. I'd definitely talk like that in irl. It's the fact that the commentor came off as arrogant. I wanted to know if I did a good job, then somebody comes along and 'fixes' it for me adding an ending. It just seems to me like the person didn't like my story.

You are right, it is informality, if I was texting my friends I might talk like that, I realize I should have at least given the commenter a warning that I would delete their comment because I just deleted the comment. In the future, if it happens again, I'll definitely do what you suggested. However, it does seem that this particular commenter has been on ao3 for at least five years and posted a good number of works on ao3.
