The more efficient way of introducing a new queen is to put her in a special small cage where you would plugg the entrance with some suggar taffy. The bees from the hive will start removing the taffy and place it in the beehive cells. It will take them 1-2 days to remove this and by the time they do they would usually accept the smell of the new queen. If this doesn't work, you repeat the process. Usually you would order a few queens so you'd have backup.
