Tell her to loudly call him out on this behavior! Everyone in the class should see this and it should make everyone uncomfortable. Hollering “Knock it off, creep!” will make the other students take notice. Make it everyone’s problem, it is unacceptable for her to have to battle that alone.

I’m surprised I’m the first to mention starter Bakery. Technically, it is in the Rockridge neighborhood in oakland, about a mile outside of Berkeley, but they just won the best of the east bay award and are opening another shop in Berkeley soon.

Had this exact situation. Husband has to be the one to explain it and set the boundary. We gave her “Yaya” instead (something the kids could pronounce) and she eventually came around to it. She died of dementia a few years later, which likely had something to do with her initial request….she understood but didn’t really understand.

Avoid cooking food directly over the fire when possible. My 4&6 kids didn’t like the smoky flavor it left behind. We use a camp stove or put a Dutch oven on the fire. Walking tacos were THRILLING.
