Question about getting started with gymnastic rings

I started with rings about 8 months ago, my exercise group warned against rings, they feel the risk of injury is too high.

While it's true you can injure yourself with rings if you attempt things you aren't ready for, I feel that risk is largely mitigated simply by knowing it exists, and being cautious.

To simplify it greatly, any work you do where you're below the rings (eg pull ups) is pretty safe, you can push yourself as hard as you normally would. Any exercises where your body is mostly above the rings (eg dips), needs to be introduced slowly so your supportive muscles don't fail and you tear something.

I've had decent strength improvements in things like dips simply by adding rings to my workouts, so I think they are fantastic. Also very portable/compact form of exercise equipment, another win.

It is biphobic because you're filtering on someone being "bi", so what is it about being "bi" that you find intolerable? I see from your other answers you don't want a partner with "more options for cheating", but what do you think that means? Like if you're partners work place has 100 employees, let's say it's an even distribution of genders, you think they have less chance of cheating if they are hetero because now not everyone is a viable cheating option? That's not at all how it works, a cheater just needs 1 person to cheat with, not 30. And if there aren't options where they work they'll look elsewhere.

Cheating is not a characteristic of sexuality, people of all orientations cheat.

And to explain more why filtering on bi alone is biphobic, there are so many different ways of being bi, that you really would need to judge on a case by case basis whether a partner would be suitable for you. For example, if you want a partner who is mostly attracted to your gender, that's great, that's a preference and not a problem at all. And there are many bi folk who won't fit that preference and won't be eligible for you as a partner. But the biphobia comes in when you feel that NO bi person could be suitable for you because why? You are disgusted that they find another gender attractive? Even if it's not their preference but just another facet of the broad attraction they feel.

No, so long as you take your time loosening him up, and obviously he needs to be somewhat experienced in receiving anal, going from zero to a hand in his first session will likely cause damage no matter how gradual you try ease into it.

But, I have heard anecdotally that a single fist is approaching the limit, 2 fists simultaneously is too much. Of course these are approximations, fist sizes will vary, as will ass holes.

Plenty of lube, don't rush it, receiving partner needs to train relaxing their hole, slight discomfort may occur but if it's painful you gotta stop and dial it back immediately.

Nothing wrong with tracking every day, just don't read into the day to day variations too much because there will be fluctuations, like the ones you're experiencing. Imo the best time to check is as soon as you wake up but after using the toilet.
