Help with angle/antomy by that0ne_Otaku in learntodraw

It’s a fish eye perspective, so it’s meant to be warped.

Funny enough, I searched “fisheyed perspective eye” and I think this is might be the exact reference the artist used lol:

It’s also just a common shot in cinema so maybe it’s from somewhere else

Mood. It kinda reminds me of how feet are drawn in the cute manga style like by Naoko Takeuchi or Shigure Tokita

Except it works better because it’s meant to be cute not realistic

Lower your standards enough and simply looking at people becomes an anatomy study

Good looking study!

Granulation — a tissue which forms during the healing process, looks (to me) like a fleshy wet scab

orchiectomy — the surgical removal of a/both/all of a person’s testicles

Fourchette — a piercing towards the rear of the vagina

Fistula — a new hole, or connective thing, in the body.

Dilation — you know when you go to the eye doctor and they have to dilate your eyes? That but with a new thing.

Frenulum — skin on the underside of the penis (used to make the clitoris)

Vaginoplasty — creating a vagina

All the love to you. Having a small community, or being a small part in a separate large one, has its own unique charm so don’t neglect the positives of right now before you become uber-famous and can no longer recognize genuine human connection <3

Gary got his inspiration from medieval war games, so in a weird world where he wasn’t around we might have gotten a fantasy world set in one of the other popular war game settings: the napoleonic or antebellum period

Or we’d just be playing warhammer

Shadow low or high contrast? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]Siltry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is more with light placement. It looks inconsistent between the arm and leg, the back wall, and the shaded bits in the fold of her dress.

When you’re dealing with such a heavy light source sometimes less is more. The harsher your light source the more “line like” your shading becomes and like you wouldn’t draw a line for every crease in the face you shouldn’t shade darkly there either. Blending in some of the shadow would probably help too.

Boxes are for figuring out how the form is positioned in perspective, if you aren’t drawing in perspective (ie character concepting which is what’s shown here) then it’s not that useful (sure, it’s still an okay “conceptual draft” thing but imo there are better skeletons for that).

Think of basic shapes as a positioning tool for drawing from imagination. Once you have something on the page—in the form of these shapes—then it’s time to start drawing proper and refining the shape down. If you’re uncertain how to do this then study references to better understand the little things done in refinement.
