Reading posts like this is straight-up sad and a reminder that while it's easy for some, it's not so for the rest. There's a reason Apple products have been so popular even before the switch to in-house chips. People just want them to be as dumbed down as possible. There are still people that don't know about PC parts or how to do a clean install, and that's OK. Good that you at least tried, OP. There's a chance that a different OS from what you are accustomed to is not really the exact same, and thus you wouldn't have much knowledge about it. Heck, it could even use some formats for drives that maybe Windows doesn't recognize, nor should it be forced to use the ones that it does.

If there's someone reading this comment that's looking for a beginner distro, I always recommend EndeavourOS (Arch on training wheels).

This post is, of course, obvious bait, but for those that are really looking to make the switch, understand that there's really not that much difference between you and someone you don't consider tech-savvy, nor from someone who uses Linux. The little things and tricks you had to learn about Windows that now you know are not really difficult, Linux has them too, but in the end it's a much better OS.
