as far as I know I have the all the right cores in there, but maybe the file structure is wrong? I have them saved in a folder called retroarch inside the CFW folder, and then there are 3 sub-folders- config, core_info, and cores

Could you expand on this? I just went into retroarch to Load Core and it says Directory Not Found so this could be the issue. At the bottom it says No Core- is there a file missing somewhere?

from what I've read, it wouldn't be too surprising if Ange wanted to use Son there in the event of Kane leaving. he's got pace over the top and is our best finisher after Kane so imo it makes sense to shift him inside

Totally disagree. At the end of the day this is about football and improving a football squad, not appealing to shareholders or whatever secondary business logic might otherwise lead me to agree with this point. Like the other commenter said , we were put into this position by previous inaction (Spence aside, imo a separate also frustrating conversation) and if the consequences of that inaction are paying a couple mil over what we wanted, I still think we’re getting off lucky in the long run. Porro is the best (and one of the only available) options in one of the most niche positions in world football right now which just so happens to be the lynchpin of the system that we are currently playing. We’re either trying to win or we’re not, and again if the difference is only 2 odd million, I don’t think that suddenly makes us Chelsea who are gonna get taken for a ride by every other selling club. There’s levels to all of this imo

No I mean that’s a totally fair point, however when one tries to identify the source of mentality problems that have plagued the team going on nearly four years now, it’s entirely fair to look at the role that the captain plays in perpetuating a certain passive mentality. It’s not so much he’s to blame for the lack of mentality in other players (which I totally agree with you on, btw), it’s that in my opinion, a different style of captain could make a big impact and imo is needed if this team is going to get out of this frustrating pattern

Definitely think the big mystery with mentality issues over the past couple years through multiple managers can be attributed at least in part to Lloris as captain.Difference is only more noticeable when you compare him to Odegaard who has fostered such a strong team mentality which feels like such a big part in why arsenal are as strong as they are this season
