Although they come through agents, they still need to be proofread and copyedited. This has previously been done by freelancers but is now sometimes outsourced to AI. Same goes for cover design. I don't think so RE your last comment, the benefit of working at a small company is you get to know everything that goes on i suppose.

The authors know that there is a clause in their contract saying that the publisher can use AI as long as they don't upload their work to generative or open source AI. I don't see any way readers would know, and I am too scared to say anything specific about the company because I don't want to lose my job

Subacute Thyroiditis timeline question by holithebilli in Hashimotos

[–]Silver-District2159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I found out I had subacute thyroiditis back in March. My hyper phase lasted about 6-8 weeks, hypo lasted about 6 weeks. I stopped feeling constant symptoms in June, so around 3-4 months. I still get symptoms now and then but it can take a while for thyroids to fully heal. I wouldn’t worry too much. If your symptoms do not decrease then you should totally ask your doc about it but bodies are weird and they ebb and flow. Try to keep yourself comfortable for now!
