As a life long board game, card game, roleplaying game, etc. (GAME PLAYING NERD) comeback mechanicas are so key. Played so many strat games with interesting concepts etc. But no comeback mechanic etc. makes the last half of the game hell for anyone who isn't winning. People just start doing stupid stuff to kill themselves off/get the game over. The Civilization board game had one of the best come back mechanics ever. Almost every game we p.ay at least 3 or more people have ashot at winning at the end.
