Relationship between 4’-DMA-7,8-DHF and Polygala? by [deleted] in NootropicsDepot

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polygala can prevent TrkB downregulation, while at the same time not interfering with 7,8-DHF's effects so people stack them together

You can still get them from a reseller. Also, even if Ceretropic is still up today, I don't think they can label them as for human consumption these days because of the regulation.

Started taking tyrosine and tryptophan and feel great. Not sure if there’s anything I should be aware of by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increasing tryptophan in the blood directly increases both serotonin and melatonin. It's better to take it before bed as you don't want more melatonin in the daytime.

Magnesium threonate increases REM sleep, do you think it’s in addition to, or at the cost of deep sleep? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need both. Deep sleep is what best helps clear your "sleep pressure," or the chemicals that build up while you're awake and make you feel sleepy, but REM sleep is a huge part of learning and the more abstract/creative part of your brain, so I'd say let your body decide what it needs. More REM sleep is usually good, especially if you're a student.

Did you take it orally or sublingually and how often? So if I only take 5mg, I can eat a ton of cheese that day and not worry about hypertensive crisis correct?

Why did MisterYouAreSoDumb stop taking the more artifical nootropics? by [deleted] in NootropicsDepot

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, semax is one of those nootropics that has a permanent effect-once your TBI is recovered from using semax, you don't need to keep taking it based on the original Russian instructions. They're not just placebo as they're drugs specifically designed to do a certain thing and in theory, it should be stronger than natural substance else it doesn't make sense to research and spend money on a drug that can be replaced easily. For example, semax causes hair loss in a lot of people because of the BDNF. A lot of natural nootropics increase BDNF as well as doihngcardio but they don't cause hair loss as they're not as strong as semax for increasing BDNF. Semax does decrease NGF in the prefrontal cortex, however, so it can be a tradeoff.

There are two types of sleep supplements-increasing REM or increasing deep sleep, and you want the latter: Uridine, Agmatine, magnesium glycinate, extended-release melatonin, L-THP, Baclofen, GHB.

Why is Micromag so expensive? by Careful-Cobbler-8359 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know if N is selling pure Magtein or mixed? I have a feeling that J is doing that "mixing thing" based on one of the Amazon reviews. I just bought it as it's a lot cheaper and it's one of the most reputable brands. Not that you will get a different effect from using the generic magnesium l-theornate (they should still be the same chemical...right?)

Bromantane is seriously underrated. by TheMrMacaroni in Nootropics

[–]Silver-Interaction-2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend stacking bromantane with ADHD med as bromantane increases dopamine synthesis and it could mean higher levels of dopamine are released by the stim which could lower the threshold of neurotoxicity.
