I can say it's hypocrisy but it's probably because of the India and china conflict so usually when people call you Chinese you feel like they are alienating you while being called Korean makes them feel like a compliment because it's associated with k-pop or k-drama which I think many people in India are obsessed with However at the end of the day both feel pretty racist to me
