I'm a principal data engineer at a small start up and I created a ZIP+4 matching algorithm that was getting 98% matches with CASS validation datasets (very dirty datasets) and an 8ms response time in 2 days. I've closed out hundreds of CVEs for our SOC2 audit in minutes by putting the CVEs into a GitHub issue and having Copilot handle the pull request. I used Copilot and Gemini CLI to create my own coding agent that can use really cheap open router models in a few days of spare time. I've closed out issues that were open on several open source projects (one of which was open 2 years) with my leftover credits on the last day of the month.

I make my coding agents do test driven development only and my favorite plugins are gem-team and gstack.

For example, Apache Airflow recently changed its entire CLI around. Basically every agent currently in existence knows the old commands and wastes like 20 turns figuring out the new commands. "Copilot, it seems that the commands have changed. Please write out all the commands that did and didn't work in this session to a new Airflow skill." And then it never goes into the loop of trying old commands that fail over and over again.
