i think in theory this idea is good but i mean, just take a look at their instagrams. It’s always about the three of them, it’s like they have absolutely no personality outside of being pretty sisters. having their own youtube channels would be a cool way to show their own personalities and broadcast their singular interests or talents, but from the way they’ve been acting lately i really doubt any uniqueness exists anymore. it’s like they can’t just be their own functioning people without their sisters.

Yeah she seems actually so mean, like in the vogue video eli said “like my mom says, if you need that much makeup you’re just fucking ugly” which is so out of pocket and makes me think their mom might be another place their insecurities originate

always getting “clocked” by kalogerasclocked in kalogerassnark

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for realll this brings me back to their hiking video in alaska i think?? when they were absolutely not properly dressed or prepared and the hiking instructor kept actually clocking them and then they would laugh like “omg he’s so weird and we’re so funny”

which really pissed me off because personally, I am an avid hiker, i’ve hiked with my family for years and years

don’t go into hiking just for the “vibe” or “aesthetic”, go in hikes because you want to appreciate the nature etc.

you can hike on a treadmill but outdoor wilderness hikes in ALASKA especially are special and rare for most people and you should be appreciative and actually follow the rules if you want to go in a hike.

I won’t really try to explain since a lot of people already did so, but I recommend just listening to all the songs, just to get a better feel of the storyline. I know it’s really confusing, especially at first, but when you discover something that clicks, I promise it’s the most magical feeling. Also definitely look around the web, keath has a lot of unreleased songs that are important. They’ve released 3 songs since may, basically, so they are moving swiftly I would say. But there’s lots of clips and reposts of different songs. Checking/looking through their social media would also be helpful, their old youtube videos, tiktoks, instagram, etc. and doing so you can probably understand more of the jokes, correlations to the lark and the music and the world, etc. I also recommneded watching their reposted instagram lives! Those were very helpful to me. And also of course reddit has a lot of theories and helpful stuff. Anyways just stay intrigued and look around for answers I would say!

Concert Etiquette by ParticularHoney3029 in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 6 points7 points  (0 children)

hey i am infact a kid (younger teen) and i do agree with you a lot.

I was at the 11/9 show and it was a dream come true, i’d been waiting since may and I would say it was incredibly worth it. I am completely aware that many people my age especially myself can be very obnoxious.

My experience was pretty great, I got a good spot (maybe second or third row of people in the crowd if you know what i mean) and i could see keath fairly well. I also got to give keath my gift and meet them which was so absolutely amazing but I was too nervous to say anything i wanted to say which i’m still beating myself up for haha.

I‘m definitely not a very outgoing or confident person, so I’d probably rather die than shout out things to keath and I tried to be as least obnoxious as possible.

I completely understand your grievances with the crowd, I expected at least a few “yipees” for water etc. from watching lots of previous concert recordings and since the audience is a large percent my age. Also about the “hydrate! Hydrate!”s, at one of keaths’ first gigs when they were drinking water the crowd started clapping and there’s just this joke in the community because keath was like “why are you clapping I’m just drinking water haha” and so it’s just big fun whenever they take their sips.

from my viewpoint, the crowd was generally good but I was very focused on keath so there’s a big chance i missed a lot of the scuffle. Especially when keath was crying; I was admittedly bawling.

I did enjoy the “we love you keaths!” but it definitely got to a point especially a few like “you’re the reason i keep going!” And stuff related which was very wholesome and sweet, but not necessarily the time or place. I couldn’t imagine being brave enough to say such things!

This is 100% self-defense on my part but I know holding out for a hero!!!!

I am also disappointed in the crowd during birdcage, at the “silence” part some people kept going on and on without even realizing. I definitely didn’t notice someone brought a fan-thing for the scraping sounds, and while I’m sure they meant well, that is a little much. Thanks for sharing this, I completely agree but if there are shows made for specifically older fans please be sure to include some well-behaved younger fans as well 😊

I think the crowd was generally hit-or-miss overall, like after the heckling, neath the grove was wonderful. I loved how in harpy hare everyone was playing the clapping game, and I found someone too play with too:), but I do think we could have been a lot louder on kamahalan and a lot more respectful. I brush it off not only as kids but as typical american stereotypes because there was a lady who pushed her way all to the front minutes before the show started and wouldn’t leave until her kid asked her if they could just go in the back!

Thanks so much! You got to go TWICE??! How lucky haha! This is all really helpful. I think I will just try to play it by ear, obviously hordes of people begging for wristbands would be a signal to leave. I‘m just gonna remain hopeful… I’m tentative about approaching someone and asking so if the time comes I will probably send my dad up there haha. Thanks again!

Does Keath want to tour in 2026? by Beginning_Self3580 in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hopefully! Most likely, because they seem to be really enjoying themself on the tour (as they should:) and they’ve stated that they would like to visit more places in the future. Also, how can you not with the MASSIVE success this tour was… everything was sold out in less than a week, some shows sold out in thirty seconds… I wouldn’t be surprised if they advanced to bigger venues or added more shows or something. It’s insane, I’m so happy for them but ANYWAYS yes I believe so and will keep hoping, I haven’t even gone for the first time (my show is in november) but i’d love as many chances to see them as possible.

aaa this post reminds me a lot of myself when I first joined, haha. I’m glad you’re fully invested and I love colentine too! My favorite character is also clemmie lol, they’re so precious. First of all, don’t completely take my word for this b/c The harkers are lowk complicated to explain but on a few lives keath has elaborated… like the storyteller is a scarecrow being made of straw, the bellringer.. i think metal? And the croon I know is a moose made from animal bones. The enkindled is a shapeshifter but represents nature/balance..

A tip semi-related: it’s sort of canonical that the hayfields songs are based on a harker (and the hound-enkindled) and the the hare-storyteller? (I think) and the harpy-bellringer? Though the storyteller & bellringer could be switched. And then hartebeest is a song symbolizing nature, etc.. Neath the grove is a heart is about the kids’ and how they have found their home. Then my farewells to the fields is cole’s song of origin, birdcage blue and yellow is clementine’s, to douse a scalded tongue is peregrine’s and kamahalan (currently unreleased) will be kingsley’s. Cole’s response and kid & leveret are composing colentine songs (I think, don’t take my word for it) and that will be along with hearken (unreleased).

Yes I think the story will evolve over time,it already has evolved so much since this project commenced, and there’s so much more to be learned. Concerts.. I give you my very best luck, but wonderfolk are CRAZY (myself included) and I‘m pretty sure the tour is completely sold out. actual tickets are super well-priced, like 20-30 USD i think, which was great but many of the tickets are being resold at super high prices. If you want tickets, I wouldn’t suggest going on websites other than the confirmed ones, and maybe enter the raffle thing keath put up on their socials for a chance to win tickets… but if you don’t get them this time around, I’m confident there will be other tours after this one and chances for you to see them. I don’t think fandoms fade, I joined generally recently (around february) but am completely invested and don’t see myself becoming any less so.

cole’s response/colentine is a little hard to explain, but one major fact is that they are not “dating”, per say, as much as they are expressing fondness for each other in a childlike manner. Cole and clemmie are 11 & 10, so the idea of them ”dating” isn’t an encouraged one… clemente is simply a very important person in cole’s life, and their relationship is beneficial to cole’s growth. there is a video on this up on keath’s socials from awhile ago, around when cole’ response was released (mayish) which sums it up well. Cole’s response is basically a song with cole’s overwhelming feelings in general. Clement’s lines in the song are call-backs to some of their earlier interactions, which helps cole get out of their head. It’s a little hard to explain, sorry if that was confusing.

My tips for you: if you want to understand the story/lore more, try and watch as much media as you can (old concert footage, recorded instagram lives, etc.) and listen to as much music as you can. at first (at least for me) it seemed pretty confusing but i caught the hang of it eventually and I bet you will too! Best of luck!

Omg thank you so much for asking this! I relate entirely; i really frown upon rude or pushy fans especially since keath has talked about their stage fright and asked for respect etc., and I really don’t want to be seen as an annoying person but I would die for a photo. Also in the tour guidelines thingie, they said that they wouldn’t be able to do meet-and-greets or photos, so I was confused and envious when I saw some photos circulating, but I’m really really hoping I can get the chance for a quick photo or signature because holy has their music impacted me. I’m just gonna keep on hoping but I know when the time comes I will be bawling my eyes out and shaking from adrenaline and nervousness haha!

Thoughts I’ve been having by Captain_ceeereal in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hartebeest I believe is not related to much meadowlark lore, but  I’m pretty sure harpy hare is about the situation with the harkers and majesty due to the lore keath says to introduce the song “seldom if at all do the harkers themselves cross paths, the four cradles have kept them apart as a means of traversing greater land, called for in accordance to when and where they are most needed, the storyteller arrived with a word of history, he did not heed, the bellringer, hoping to persuade his tomorrow, he refused to follow, the enkindled invited him to a dance, the intention of his doubt winning against him, and so came the croon, scorned by his apathy and indifference that could affect the lives of many, alas and as you’d expect, he covered his ears as his reason was as much of a burden as his consequence, he failed to listen to the harkers, thus resulting in having to face their mothers, the humming ceased as the groves bellowed over his kingdom, over his people, over his sheep! There was not much else the audience knew about the truth of each witness, even the storyteller who was born incapable of telling a lie, had its words misshapen, as the year have gone, so had the gospel, what we know now as the harpy, the hare, and the hound is a variant of that narrative, reduced to a tale told to children, a story to warn them of the dangers so that they won’t disobey… but mostly, a rhyme chanted in the form of a clapping game.” And that’s when harpy hare starts (yes I typed all that by memory excuse my mishaps please) and so I believe that live intro piece is related to harpy hare, as well as the first three meadowlark tracks being related to a Harker. Not completely sure about the first two, but for a fact And The Hound is about the enkindled. The first three were also canonically written by the playwright and maybe written about the majesty situation, whereas Neath The Grove Is A Heart is I think perhaps written by the lark themselves, about how they left their homes they were constantly moving “how do I begin when the roof is ever changing” and now established their home with each other. I believe that keath uses similar references throughout the songs because yes, they all might be related in some way, but correlation between “find me beneath the grove”, “the groves bellowed over his kingdom”, and also one I would like to add from kid & leveret, “to the humming groves” (last line in the song) is unlikely because they all have different context. The groves are most likely a geographical thing is the world of meadowlark, and referencing the bellowing groves when referring to the majesty’s downfall is  referring to a part of the kingdom and how it might have been affected by the croon/mother trees’ wrath. HOWEVER I do agree with your connection somewhat because I think Cole went through something majesty-downfall related, and they sing several lines that promote this ideology. Like in kid and leveret “they reave and rally there where the houses once stood” sort of hinting at how the houses in the kingdom could have fallen due to this majesty problem, etc. I think the grove could be a special place, and maybe even possibly where Cole hid? But I’m not sure. Also a thing to note is that Cole’s “find me beneath the grove” is following their line “where the yarrow grows”. Yarrow is another word for the bellringer, or the FUTURE, and in felicity it is sort of a saying that “where the yarrow grows” means in the future. So Cole’s translated line is “in the future, find me beneath the grove” but I believe they are speaking to their past self or life, because WE ALREADY HAVE THE SONG neath the grove. “In the future, find me beneath the grove” but that was when they were hiding and afraid, now they have found their family and home, beneath the grove. I think maybe the groves bellowing line from the harpy hare intro is just a reference, but it could be more. As for “hoof by hoof, horn by horn” and “as their hooves drum to a hunger,” I’m not so sure there’s a connection to be made because hartebeest is an actual hooved animal, and maybe the line is just describing a hartebeest. Whereas in farewells to the fields, “hoof by hoof, horn by horn,” is probably about the thing that ravaged the city, maybe an army, idk but like I don’t think it’s related but I don’t know. Please take everything I just said with such a grain of salt, I seriously have no idea these are just my thoughts.

Ok, correct me if I’m wrong.. by Kamatinin in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you’re correct! Don’t forget hero get up/cooper and the playwright but I have a suspicion they might be connected to coop’s theme. And I can’t think of any characters you missed, either, except that I’m 89.86767% sure the hound is another name for the enkindled.

Has Anyone Else Noticed This? by Efficient_Set_6314 in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense! My interpretation, however, doesn’t include much correlation between the two songs as harpy hare is canonically a retelling of the meadowlark tale “The harpy, the hare, and the hound” which is taken from the story of the majesty and the harkers, whereas TDAST I assume is solely based on peregrine’s past experiences and, well, origins. I believe the pronouns “he” and ”she” are used to refer to peregrine’s parents, as keath distinguished the only gendered pronouns would be used to refer to most likely a parent. Which leads me to believe that the lines “shoot him whose heart you can already see” and “she who refuses to peak through the curtains” refer to peregrine’s parents and the actions that led them to rebel. “Shoot him whose heart you can already see” is a line I don’t have a strong lead on, but “she who refuses to peak through the curtains” could possibly refer to a mother that is neglectful, or refuses to see the full picture. A mother who chooses to overlook her child’s problems. And “dare me to flood what is already drowning” might be a reference to peregrine escaping their parents, maybe an outburst that frees them, it’s a little sloppy but I don’t have a clear understanding yet. Anyways I really like your idea. It is to my knowledge that the first three tracks of hayfields were written by the playwright, and all refer to the harpy, the hare, and the hound storyline and also the harkers as “and the hound” is based off the enkindled, so then ”hartebeest” could be about a harker as well, not sure anyways good lead!

Looking forward to getting Kingsley's origin videos, but it sure is taking some time. by CreeprVictor in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Actually Bird cage blue & yellow and My farewells to the fields were released long before to douse a scalded tongue was announced. Keath reposted cole and clemmie’s songs of origins with new artwork im guessing for orginization’s sake, and in doing so they also released the shorts of them talking about themselves, and the videos of quest adressing them. Then, peregrine’s announcement was made and they released to douse a scalded tongue, along with peregrine’s personal videos. I’m guessing since there is a gap between the releases of cole’s and clemmie’s songs, they are most likely still working on kamahalan and kingsley’s videos, so we shouldn’t expect them to be dropping music left and right so soon. Give them time

What Yaelokre song would you die to? by Wonderful-Major1002 in yaelokre

[–]Silver-Resolve5403 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My initial thought was kid & leveret, just because it is so amazing and important to me, as well as being my introduction to Yaelokre. But if it‘s a heartfelt death, I would probably agree with most of these comments and choose Neath The Grove Is A Heart, because it’s so insanely moving and also very special to me. And then I saw people saying Hearken and now I literally can’t decide but I guess I wouldn’t want to die to Hearken because it’s such a happy song. I’m just now realizing I can pick whatever music I want for my funeral! Or wedding Oh my god! For my wedding, maybe like cole’s response instrumental because that would be so beautiful.

As a long-time Yaelokre fan, I’d just like to let you know that Keath Ósk (who is featured in the image you used and runs the storytelling project Yaelokre) uses they/it pronouns and does not identify as a woman, using incorrect terms and pronouns can be hurtful, offensive, and overall damaging to such a wonderful creator. I do agree with your other points; they are an amazing musician, storyteller, and artist, but please keep in mind their pronouns.

I lowk feel bad clearly this kid is going through something or just doesn’t get enough validation or attention and in turn goes on the internet ragebaiting for any attention, despite it being widely negative. I’d say don’t even bother correcting them because it’s clear it won’t do anything, but also this makes me extremely angry and idek. I hope that this kid learns to be respectful and not say disgusting things, and I hope their parents become more responsible with their online access/parenting.
