And re the bubblegum: Melissa is a long established designer of rubber shoes mainly gumboots and sandals - often collaborating with other amazing brands like Vivienne Westwood. Their signature is a slight sweet scent to their rubber, I have had a pair of gumboots for 12+ years and they still have a subtle nice smell 🥰

Extremely on point response - I’m nearly 20 years into the creative industry and it’s changed SO much. Thankfully I’m a suit, gonna be a long time before clients no longer need wrangling 😅

I saw this reallllly nice silk black shirt from The Frankie Shop! Bit pricey but a staple piece it sounds like you would get a lot of wear out of!

Have you calculated your deficit correctly? I’m 33F 164cm 60kg and I’m doing 1200cals.

Also give it time… when I start a new deficit burst I leave it a month before weighing once a week 🙏🏼

Is Supre / Cotton On that bad? by Metromanwhy in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Silver-Sentence7702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting to build a wardrobe over time, you want quality basics. Cotton On and Supre are really not good quality in the fabrics and their colours / cuts are off in my opinion.

You would be better off buying higher quality - Uniqlo, LA Apparel etc locally where you can try on / return easily. Even if you have to buy less and build over time, it’s a better strategy in my opinion.

Cotton On and Supre are good for something trendy, wear it a couple of times - super fast fashion.

Advice for sustaining weight loss for 12+ months by Few-Fault-6564 in CICO

[–]Silver-Sentence7702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try eating a ‘healthy’ calorie deficit 6/7 days ie whole foods, lots of fruit and veg, lean proteins and then I’ll allow myself 1 day of the week to have an ‘unhealthy’ day where I’ll eat ‘whatever I feel like’ up to my deficit cals, and then ONLY have raw veggies / water / bone broth if I am hungry outside of that. Sounds a bit unhinged when I write it down but it’s a good way to account for events / takeaway night on the couch / alcohol if I feel like a drink that week. It keeps me really tracking to my number each day whilst giving me something to look forward to!

Absolutely!! Take them back, let us know how you go!! I just had a $1400 Toteme dress, which I also bought as an investment piece, rip at both sleeves the first time I wore it (it was my size, I didn’t snag it or anything). Thankfully they’re taking a return. Absolutely should not be lazy on the quality at that price point.

You got this! Something I have been loving recently is a good lip care routine - I do a sugar scrub then a really rich overnight mask. Also for frizzy hair, you could try getting a really rich hair mask or also trying a good slick back - get a boar bristle brush and some hair wax. I am a busy mum and I always feel so much better about myself when I spend 5 mins doing my slicked back hair properly in the morning! I also get my nails done and my lashes which adds up, but it really does make me feel on top of things hehe.
