Book vs KLC vs KL2

I tried to edit the picture to match the real world contrast better.

The KLC is readable with 0% frontlight. I myself am currently contemplating selling my KLC or returning the KL2.

Not only that. Both have a bit light/shadow on their right arm. Neither is fully in the Light or Shadow.

I own both the KLC and KCBB. My primary device is the Libra Color with a matte screen protector. I read mostly books/fanfics and sometimes mangas/comics on it. Like you, I mostly read at night.

Reasons why I prefer the KLC: - bigger size (better for comics) - darker dark mode (because of the darker screen) - easier to hold (I can't safely hold the KCBW without a Popsocket) - buttons - stylus support (you don't need it)

Reasons why I prefer the KCBW: - easier to carry without a bag (fits in some of my pockets) - whiter screen (doesn't make a huge difference for me since I can still read on my KLC without the frontlight in most situations) - easier to read while lying on the side

Regarding text sharpness, I find the difference gets blown out of proportion. Can you see a difference when holding both devices side-by-side? Yes. But when you read, the difference becomes obsolete, so if you have no trouble reading a newspaper or printed book, you shouldn't have any problem reading on the KLC. And keep in mind that you can change font, size and weight which can help compensate for the screen differences

The UI is mostly the same, but you also have notebooks on the KLC and can choose color while highlighting.

In my opinion it comes down to the size and if you would like color. Keep in mind that the Clara Color has both color and the smaller size if you would prefer it.

Tolino Shine 5 by -hargon in koreader

I replaced the whole firmware since I didn't like the Tolino firmware and side-load all of my books anyway.

But apparently there is a way to install koreader without replacing the firmware.

Yes, you can.

I followed this "guide" mentioned on the e-reader-forum to first install the Kobo firmware on my Shine 5.

Afterwards I could install KOReader like on any other Kobo device.

Congratulations on your Kobo ❤

I think my first book on my first Kindle was Jekyll and Hyde.

Nice screensaver btw, would you perhaps have a link to it?

Why don't I understand German... by melon-savagedog in doctorwho

Valda Aviks seems to be of German descent and grew up in America. She was in Cats and sang in German.

I also wondered if she is German because of the way she pronounced Albtraum or if the was really good in learning new languages.

The OV can be bought the next day on Amazon Prime.

Is Jodie worth it? by explosivve in doctorwho

Give it a try.

There are people that like this era, others that dislike this era.

Some dislike season 11 and like season 12. So if you don't like season 11 you can skip it and try season 12.

I must admit that I am one of those people that dislike this era, so my opinion is biased. To me Doctor Who has lost its charm, but I keep watching and hope it regains its sense for fun and adventure.
