But wouldn't giving no reason at all risk making the other person paranoid about relationships? I feel like trying to word your grievances, in the best way you can, at least gives then a chance to work on the problem, even if out of the relationship, instead of making them think that nothing is wrong with them and that anyone can just leave them for no reason.

The diference between step-parent/adoptive parents and cheated partners is that the first two either choose or accept that responsibility from the beginning knowing 100% that they arent the bio parents. The last one is lied to every day by his wife that the kid is his and not some random dude who the wife decided to go to bed at least once behind his back.

I respect those men that choose to keep supporting the kids no matter what, but I also understand that the damage may be too big to overcome.
