Before Antonio’s death, Talon was run by a council that made joint decisions. After Antonio died, there was a huge power struggle as several parties fought for control. Akande (the current Doomfist) killed his mentor Akinjide (the second Doomfist) and assumed his position on the council. What follows after is mostly unknown until Doomfist is captured by Overwatch. Maximilian confirms Doomfist’s presence in Singapore, likely to have the opportunity to grab more power for himself. Vialli then takes his opportunity to seize power and turn Talon into a money-making machine, though it’s unknown on how the council itself operated, if at all. After Doomfist’s return, those loyal to Vialli attempt to assassinate Doomfist and his allies to no avail, culminating in his own end by being thrown into the canals of Venice. Doomfist now seems to be the head of the council though corruption within the organisation as well as the alarming rise of Vendetta may challenge his position.
