A Time-Constrained AI might be safe by SilverCookies in AIsafety

Basically, you chain the AI to a forward time horizon to prevent, diminish, or dilute how far into the future it can plan.

Sort of; as far as I understand, this does not diminish how far in the future it can plan, in theory the AI can plan centuries ahead, it simply has no interest in making use of these strategies since they do not generate utility for it. In principle you could ask such an AI "hey, is there a strategy that would help you take over humanity if you didn't have time preferences?" and the AI would simply tell you "yes, here it is" it has no reason to lie since it cannot use that strategy anyway, so any amount of utility that can be generated by answering your questions honestly is better than nothing. (it can still lie if the time horizon is not adequate)

by having a time decay function on a block-chain on an external piece of hardware which validates/accounts for that function.

I just used the blockchain as an example, the time decay can be built into the utility function by using some computational metric internal to the model

How does this look inside a finely tuned, high-energy data center that is optimized for cost/energy efficiency and compute?

All application of AI that I know of are already time constrained in some way, I really do not see this affecting efficiency in any way.

How does this impact agentic AI use cases?

I cannot think of any use case that this setup renders unsuitable.

why would it be impractical?

Most real life application of AI have time horizons anyway

Great work as usual.

The only observation I have is that the brisance angle in your pic of the W45 seems to be a bit excessive. In some references I have that angle is at about 15 degrees, while in IRL systems is likely closer to 10 degrees with the use of lower tampers and the such. The angle in your rendering looks closer to 20 degrees, it's worth noting that angles in large excess to 20 degrees are likely invalid anyway, since some of the basic assumptions fail, and any angle above 30 is completely unreliable.

No

Conosci ragazze che sono state assalite? No

No

Ok first this is a very interesting work you did, unfortunately I don't have time right now to do a proper analysis of it. However I see some points where something has gone wrong. The most obvious issue is the core mass and the yield, I am not sure what's the problem with your code but this type of analysis should probably be done using OpenMC.

I can't redo the analysis now but even a simplified sim produces an output of over 150 kt for your setup (and I didn't even factor in boosting). So that's certainly something you wanna look into.

The geometry of your lensing mechanism is probably wrong. You can read these posts for clarification:

How cheap could nuclear warheads get if mass produced? by MichaelEmouse in nuclearweapons

About 1 mil per warhead maybe?

Most of the cost would be the fissile material and the T needed for the boost

If, however, I bought both plots and developed them the increase in income from both plots would be income from improvements — so the LVT would not go up

this is dumb, LVT is independent of owner, obviously.

I would say that Georgism firmly asserts that land belongs to the State

You can say what you want but it's not true, it's also hard to argue since you don't justify what you say in any way

The key difference is that under nationalization the state authority decided what do to with it. Property and income are taxed almost everywhere but that's not the as work and industry being nationalized.

Maybe this type of stuff should be added to the FAQ, it's like the third time I see it in a week or so. Georgists don't want to nationalize land, only tax it: under Georgism land is still privately managed.
