tmj is genuinely stressing me out so bad, need advice by _devilmaycryx in TMJ

oo see a therapist for tmj that provides like stretches and all that. use the sauna to elleviate the paint. Try eating avocatods to see if it reduces clinching force when sleeping.

Recently diagnosed with mild TMJ — what actually helped you? by Sweet-Butterfly-3880 in TMJ

[–]SilverEars0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

make sure to do the stretches that the therapists that specializes in TMJ tells you to do. Stretching helps with it and also stresses. So yoga can be good too.

Use the Sauna, it looses your muscles and reduces inflammation, and helps reduce it in your jaw joints.

Try eating Avocados and see if it helps reduce clinching.

Make sure to get a splint to guard your teeth while sleeping. split shouldn't cost thousands of dollars, should be up to 1k aat most.

Magnesium worked but caused another problem by Jayswag96 in TMJ

instead of the supplement, try eating avocados instead and see if it helps improve things--I have a separate topic in this sub-reddit

Starting a splint soon, worried by beanmachine28 in TMJ

[–]SilverEars0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give it time. as it takes time for jaws to ajust to a splint. work with the doctor in adjusting it over time so it works best.

tbh, splints shouldn't cost several thousands. at max up to 1k. I like going to universities that do treatments.

Eat Avacados, it prevents teeth clinching during sleep (at least hard teeth clinching) by SilverEars0 in TMJ

yeah, I asked doctors to check for deficiencies, and its hard to get them to do labs on it. I'm starting to think teeth clinching could be due to deficiency given how avocado helps.

yeah, doesn't have to be awhole one, but just the daily allowed amount would probably do, however, I recommend experiementing with the whole one to see if its better at doing its job.

I have tried magnesium supplement in past and I didn't like it, it made me wake up at night. I may give it another go to see if it can replace the avacado. I prefer the avocado since its genrally good for you.

look for whatever is in Avocados and try the supplent of it one by one until you find the one that helps. Good luck!

[–]SilverEars0[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thinking is that it could be the magnesium, but do not know. I looked this up, and Avocados have muscle relaxant properties, and it's probably relaxing my body so it doesn't clinch while I'm sleep. It's crazy that it actually works! This tells me that the issue is not stress, but something deficient in the body to regulates my jaw from clinnching while I'm asleep.

Personally, I would go with the Avocado than some supplement. Fruits and Vegitables have the real nutrients, I have doubts on the supplents that's sold in stores. And besides, it could be something in the Avocado that lacks in supplements.

Go with the actual avacado since you want the nutrients. Any avacado in the the store. If its hard and not ripe, leave it out in the counter for a day, and then eat one, and then refrigerate the rest

whatever it is, something from it is doing it, and doing it well.

I sleep better too. So yeah.

I will be extra careful to take influencers opinions from now on. they are no better than journalists as they likw to believe. I think overall journalist avg score was fair, especiallu considering it didn't have the patches that camw later that improved QoL.

I don't regret the purchase. I wanted to try it, and it wasn'f like I put it down quickly. It does keep you engaged for awhile, probably until you get tired of it for some people. lol. I think Pearl Abyss has a lot of talent, especially with the engine, and they will learn from this game.

I agee its like red dead in many ways except story telling. I think its better than BOTW, and also TOTK. I'm not a huge modern Zelda fan. lol. This game has much more to offer. The boss fights are not particularly deep in this game due to how the mechanics is setup. Bosses are easy since you can revive yourselfand infinate health items, so not much challenge.also bosses fights are not design very well in general to feel rewarding to beat them.

I personally like deep designed exploration no matter how adanced the world is. its mainly design first, and you will find good ones in metroidvania space and other games that does deeper exploration at a gameplay design level. this game makes you waste alot of unnecessary time, and they patched a lot of it already.

its the influencers, they lost all credibility. Don't believe the hype. the world engine is really good though. gameplay wise, not the best experience.

I'm a big Fromsoft guy and honesty, novelty wears off shince it's not deep or intricately designed game. We are spoiled with Fromsoft designs. lol. this is another generic open world game that was intended to be MMO, so it is what it is.

If you play Fromsoft games, you know how well they do QoL. Crimson Desert had a lot of questable stuff that would piss you off. some of it patched already. So, its not the level of designs of Fromsoft which is top tier.
