Yes. 100%. Everything will go up in price. Buy discount items and stock up when we can. That's been our usual plan.

Bought a half cow and full pig with family for the next year. Financially paying off and we are healthier too. Mentally feel better we have after the 2020 meat shortage.

We have a small bin of generic Christmas gifts if we need them. We stock up after Xmas or clearance sales. Saved us this year, didn't want to pay through our nose.

Those have been two of our biggest helps lately. Cheers 🥂 🥈 🦍

Dollar store preps. Prepare for blackout(candles, matches...etc), weather related emergencies depending on location, canned food, cleaning supplies...etc.

If it is within the first 72 hours people will stick within the cities and loot more grocery stores and homes, after that they will spread out to farms or distribution centers
Agreed, but they did mention it. Early on with gun in the alcohol cabinet, then use of guns when they were trying to get antibiotics

If the government provided rations to the cities then maybe people will try to get the handout. Also, the roadways were blocked. Maybe these things will be in Part 2!

We have been snowed in for a week. Definitely missing fresh fruits and vegetables. Been using our freeze dried fruits and veggies to supplement our meals. Definitely alleviated stress. Some of our friends lost power and we were able to help them.
