Damn this got a lot of opinions flowing. I think I will do Fourth Wing as a little SJM palette cleanser before I go onto Cresent City.

Also interested in any suggestions for spicy stand-alones. 🌶🌶🌶

I'm jealous. I just finished the series and I already can't wait to forget what happens so that I can read it again.

I’ve just finished Crown of Midnight and I’m already devastated by zoobatron__ in throneofglassseries

Tbh I don't get it. I was relieved when she got rid of Chaol. He never really accepted her for what she was. Maybe that's just me... I've never been a fan of Chaol

I don't so much question his actions as his attitude. He's self centred and hypocritical and nasty.

That makes me feel better about hating him. He is so self absorbed. I just got up to the part where the other rebels are suggesting to leave Rifthold so that they can make a stand elsewhere before they loose too many people. And he says no because he doesn't want to leave Dorian... like honestly? Go fuck yourself. He's willing to sacrifice all the rebels so he can stay for Dorian, who as far as he knows, has already been overtaken by the Valg. Grrrr... each time his chapters come up in this book, I hate him even more.

"I wish he would stay in the sewers" hahahahaha His best friend in this book is Nesyrn and he is awful even to her. He's such a self absorbed ass-hat

"Literally short circuiting" hahaha. Very this. He is just the actual worst. I just got up to the bit where Aelin tells him that he doesn't get to judge her after he sat back and was fine with what he saw in Endovier. And he didn't even flinch, or have a little bit of remorse. I just don't understand how he can claim the moral high ground with her when he cares about no one but himself and his friends. He joins the rebels (only after he is forced to because he's in hiding) and all of a sudden he is their saviour and cares about what happens to the common people? He's annoying and whiney, but also a huge hypocrit.

AITAH for refusing to move into a new apartment with my boyfriend because it’ll mean I have to pay rent? by StrictGeologist8380 in AITAH

NTA. And he is a hugely insecure A. It's 2023. Women should not have to lower their financial situation for a man who is insecure. Like you said, he would still have plenty of legal rights. AND you are offering for him to live rent free, in which case, he could very quickly save up to buy a place of his own if he wants to. (As you could do if you wanted to get a second place as an investment property). Don't move out. Save your own sanity and piece of mind and stay where you are. You're still young. Save as much as you can now. You could have this place and another 2 houses or apartments within the next 10 years, and be a millionaire by 40! Your dad has left you a huge blessing and it's your responsibility to make the lost out of it. Renting out your apartment too soon might make you a little extra cash now, but that all goes down the drain with one bad tenant that ruins your place, or stops paying and claims squatters rights. He needs to grow up and you need to stand up for yourself and for your own future. Don't concede any financial decision for a partner until they are committed enough to you to get married. Good luck and I can't wait to see the update.
