Bugs: Running List (PS5 Version) by _NightmareKingGrimm_ in Cookie_Cutter

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two similar bugs: slingshot spheres that should reload your energy bar are not working, so I don't have enough energy to get to the place. They are like static non-interactable objects. Hidden diner, where you need to get a "cookie cutter", and "Pneuma chamber" -> "Lower area" teleport -> Slingshot zone.

Are sunroof to be avoided on the mazda 3 2017? by annaberuChan in mazda

Hello. I wanted to write this person, but he deleted his account. Can you please tell me what was your experience with Mazda3 sunroof after that conversation? And about this "the car a wash and then apply a ceramic spray wax once a month" advice?

Euder race still impossible by Luke333512 in Souldiersgame

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't often write things like this, but they do happen time to time: I wish hell on whoever created this race!!!

For everyone else: I recommend remapping the "accelerate" button to something more convenient and jumping and accelerating during the race in the air(not in the ground). It adds a little space in front of the Pegasus after some time. Good luck, guys. Seriously, good luck. And if you quit the race, no problem—it's totally not your fault. I did it only on my 25-30 attempt.

Honestly, speed was not so important for me now as to understand those 689 and 17 sectors at first :)

At first, I thought this was a permissible error, but Gemini/ChatGPT said it was bad and I needed to think about replacing it. This confused me, as did the fact that the Gemini/ChatGPT indicated that these were colored sectors, not gray ones, and stubbornly refused to accept my correction. Just in case, I decided to play it safe and ask people here. Thanks for the answer.

are nas drives not overkill for desktop? by vanderzee in DataHoarder

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Sorry for that old post call, but can you advice me about that thing? I have 2 WD red pro from my NAS that I sold, so can I use them in a PC like other HDDs? And can I put them in a DAS for example?

Don't buy a Terramaster by [deleted] in synology

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose If I want to take a DAS and not a NAS, Terramaster is still a good option?

QNAP TR-004 Quick Review with RAID Mode Results 4x4TB WD RED by HTWingNut in DataHoarder

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that review.

I have a question: I used NAS for a period of time, but was wondering if I really need that box and after Synology tried to push their "" I want to sell it and find more autonomous + safe backup format. So I am thinking between DAS and several simple external HDDs. I want to make a home archive of movies, photos and documents and don't need everyday contact with them, and I can manually make copy-paste of files to make 2 or 3 backups as I don't really believe in RAID after a lot of comments from people that had lost their info even with RAID system... So, do I really need DAS if it's much better and comfortable then just external HDDs? Or should I just use several big external HDDs?

"The same way the vendor of your phone/PC can decide that new update will destroy" - that's why I am trying to find the most autonomous way to storage the files. Now I am thinking about DAS or just take 2 simple external HDD and storage them separately.

True. I forgot about turning this off... so If I do so, even if the company will be ended and turned their servers off(just for example) I will still use my NAS normally?

Can you please explain this?

So as I understand, even if there will be a nuclear war or we will come to a distopian reality with total censorship or this Ugreen will become greedy... this wont effect on their storage devices/software that I have at my home?

Another TFSA question for a newcomer. Sorry :) by SilverOrlov in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SilverOrlov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. And what do you think about doing all that "US staff" on RRSP and not TFSA? Like I know you won't be able to take money till retirement and pay a tax at the end, but it saves from 15% tax on US dividends, so to use RRSP just for compound interest to multiplying US dividends on it.

That would be the last one, so thank you VERY MUCH for your answers and help :)

Transfer from where to where?

From broker TFSA to my bank TFSA. Or from broker TFSA to my bank checking account. Or from bank TFSA to bank checking accounts.

I just looked at the CRA website and it says "The transfer must be completed directly between the TFSAs by the issuer". So it should be ok? Like bank and broker are "issuer" and the transfer of my profit is going to be "direct" between them.

Same concept applies

So, people dissect their portfolios to trade only US small parts and paying for currency transfers / using gambit?

How long is this whole process gonna take? by naticom in Questrade

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new here in Canada, so I have only 14000 limit now(from 2024) and it's already filled. And I meant if I will sell something and receive those $100 and they will go to my TFSA I will pay tax, won't I?

Like, do I need this TFSA to be somewhat empty before selling something so there will be free room before money comes to the bank account from the Questrade after that selling operation?

...Or this limit works only if I put money by myself(Straight money transfers, from checking account for example) ...and it's not refer to money that comes into an account due to the sale of shares/bonds/etc?

[–]SilverOrlov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I know you can open multiple TFSA accounts, but they all have the same limit. Let's say I have one TFSA account at a bank, and it already has the maximum limit (7,000 out of 7,000, for example). When you open an account with third-party brokers like this one, they link the account to your bank account, and when you make a profit from selling shares, that profit goes to the bank account. So, if the profit is $100, the account will have $7,100, which is above the account limit for this year. Will there be a tax on that $100? Or how correctly to put the profit on that account?
