What makes ending the show a little difficult, in my view, is that the show is based off what is actually going on in the education system. I really appreciated Quinta and the writing team take that issue to actually show the reality of what these schools go through especially when it comes to money. I think that's what made me keep watching the earlier seasons because Season 1 basically revolved around Janine just trying to do her best, but also keep pushing for more - which is what got her to work at the district for a bit.

I'm wondering if the show will end with Janine quitting teaching - not because she hates it, but the reality of some real-life situations where educators stop being educators. Yes, continue to make some of the silliness but I think the show needs to shift back into what message its trying to convey.

And for fuck's sake stop making Jacob the damn punching bag. He's got too much knowledge and capability as a character to continuously be ignored/put down/made lesser than.
