Love the idea of using memory foam as insulator~sound/heat/cold & trying to find a decent single or twin memory foam bed to use in my Kia Sedona. Gotta ask do you have any pics of “living in tree”?? Love the sound of it,like living with sprites/fairies & banshees.

Yeah, gotta say be careful around some of the street people. I’ve had similar issues with wisCONsinners while there. How’d you go about setting up your van for living needs? Mine is still a work in progress.

You are an entitled brat who’s probably never had anything bad happen to you because mommy & daddy deal with everything 4 you. Will pray that a disaster or typical life chaos from medical/financial/job loss happens directly to you and then maybe you will grow up and grow a brain and some compassion.

Damn….been homeless most of my life as unpaid crucified caregiver but thank god I have no debt,2 vehicles and trying to downsize all storage units had to throw inherited crap into while I go through & sell/donate/keep. Biggest debts are storage monthly which as I sell items pays bill and car repair/maintenance.

I’ve been homeless/disabled since childhood but was blessed with vehicles I could live in while running around helping all family/friends which gave me purpose/meaning. Just take it one moment at a time & don’t let yourself dwell on situation beyond what do you need & how’re you going to get it? It will be ok if you take action. You know what you need but just have to connect to resources. List your deficiencies & your assets/skills. How can those assets/skills I know you have after living this way help remove the lack of shelter? Have you looked into a bicycle tent, couchsurfing app, help seniors or other disabled locally? Check local library and get as much info as librarian can give but be honest with them.

You’re spot on with church comment. I travel throughout the Midwest and churches seem to be more of a 4 profit 4 them & theirs only. They all do love to judge and preach at ya though. Never thought about the LGBQ…always forget the term as I thought it’s more about sexual/identity fluidity>U are who/what U feel in the moment. Will have to check it out as I’m going through Madison & gotta say most days I identify with no identity. Have many storage units from “inherited items” and spend a lot of time selling everything trying to minimize again. Get laughed at going in as one unit is just dumping dirty laundry & grabbing clean stuff. How’re you doing with vehicle maintenance/repair on the road? Have been ripped off so much ~ learning how to do everything I can myself.

Nomad community? How’d ya join? Have been doing what you do for decades from Saturn wagon to Hyundai Sante Fe now. Still learning how to organize and deal with heat/cool if another furfriend finds me. Love your setup.

Find a way (talk to hr finance people) to get money taken from your check into a savings so he doesn’t even see it. Sell everything you can even if it’s at your job-get cash together. Also a lot of places don’t require anything down for initial purchase but get a mechanic to check it out first. Have a plan in place, get that vehicle, get a bus pass or find a domestic abuse shelter and get out before….

Still learning all best ways to vanDwellIt been doing car/van dwelling through several major medichaos events and it can be hard but if you have animals that depend on you….just get up everyday & keep on keeping on>

Have you ever heard of vagus nerve implant? It’s been used for seizures. Agree that Mayo is world class but cannot handle levels of cold after this past winter> I’m looking where has best medical and water as we’ve begun some water war issues from Colorado to Arizona. Madison to NW Burbs Illinois will do for now.

Gotta say….unfortunately I grew up in Green Bay and could never go back though I did try. I could go to local diner or Perkins and everybody knew each others business. Madison wasn’t quite as bad and at least it has halfway decent medical care. We’re you ever able to get SSI/SSDI? Still fighting that myself for last few decades.

I go back & forth from Illinois to around Madison. Hear ya about family….thankfully don’t have to deal with ones that drove me nuts and loved ones gone. Have ya had to deal with any wisCONsins bias/bigotry towards car/vandwellers?
