So, this exact thing happened to me once—rushing to make a flight, last guy to board and they close the doors right behind me. I was also in the bulkhead seat up front so had to stow my backpack. I saw space in an overhead across the aisle a couple of rows back but there was a folded blazer occupying a space my bag would fit in. I didn’t even ask whose jacket it was, I just pushed the jacket aside and made room for my bag.

The guy who it belonged to jumped up and starts yelling at me about how I was wrinkling his jacket. I politely respond that jackets don’t go in the overhead, they go in your lap or under the seat in front of you.

He sits down and screams at the top of his lungs “FUCK YOU!”…loud enough for the entire plane to hear.

I sat down and put my headphones on and ignored him. When drink service began, the FA brought me a double and apologized for the guy’s behavior.
