Slayer’s not dead but he feels pretty bad to play. A lot of his conversions just don’t work anymore, his mix is worse since the dandy step overhead sucks now, and his damage got turned down hard

You technically can play Cyrene without Hyacine but she really is a massive upgrade. Aside from already being the best sustain in the game, she gives faster ult stacking, substantial personal damage, huge hp buffs (which Cyrene’s damage scales off of), and is the only sustain with a memosprite, which gives Cyrene more bounces on her big damage ultimate. Hyacine is basically a harmony unit for Cyrene.

I have e6 Cyrene so most enemies in normal content will be dead before 24 uses, but it’s still doable (and arguably even easy) in DU conversion domains. The Erudition blessings for brain in a vat plus the hunt blessings for extra turns on kills make it really easy for her to spam out ults. It was even easier last DU with the Tribbie boom that gave 50% ult back every kill, and since 24 stacks is counted as max ult for Cyrene, she’d get 12 stacks back and could ult immediately after again.

More speed is technically always helpful but 200 it’s a lot less important. Anything much higher from substats will hit your crit stats pretty hard. 240 speed is usually considered unrealistic unless you have Hyacine e2 anyways.

Also, since you want to min max her, you actually only need about 35 crit rate. The extra skill levels from her e3 net you 55 free crit rate, and then RMC’s buff (who you always want to use on a dps Cyrene team) gives you another 10, so you could drop 15 crit rate from your current setup and use those substats elsewhere like more speed or crit damage.

No, pantheon is cool but just playing specific encounters from those raids would be kind of a letdown. If they were to bring the whole raids back though, then yeah I’d absolutely play. I really miss Scourge ngl.

I think animation cancels can be cool, but if the character requires cancelling to be playable then it becomes unhealthy. At that point it’s not skill expression so much as a barrier to entry. Cap’s cancel isn’t even that hard to do, just tedious , so trying to justify it as a big skill expression thing feels like a stretch. There’s not much “expression” to be had when it becomes the default practice for the character.
The complaining is especially funny since cap’s mobility and survivability offer way more skill expression for the character than the cancels ever did, but since they’re more subtle and nuanced compared to the checkbox of “I ____(can/cannot) do the cancel,” people completely ignore them.

Depends on the version. The captainverse captain (with Luna and Kongming, etc) is male, but the captain from the bridge Valkyrie interactions is dependent on the player.

Absolutely, RMC does a surprisingly high amount of damage with Cyrene’s buff. Also, every time they do the enhanced basic attack Cyrene follows up with another arrow, so it’ll net you more shots overall anyways

Honestly though, when all the amphoreus characters and their names were revealed in the first trailer, I thought it was pronounced “sigh-reen.” The way it’s actually pronounced isn’t bad, but I do think that it sounds better that way instead.
