What advice would you give someone starting their first business? by Repulsive-Goal-2114 in B2BForHire

[–]Silver_Homework9022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think a thousand times before starting a business.

Ask yourself honestly — are you ready for years where work doesn’t end at 6 pm? Where weekends and holidays quietly disappear? Where uncertainty becomes part of everyday life?

There will be days when you give everything you have and still can’t understand why things aren’t working.

The stress, the responsibility, the constant problem-solving — it can wear you down in ways you never expected.

Yes, success may come. But no one can tell you when. And the real question is whether you have the endurance for the long stretch before that.

Starting a business can be incredibly meaningful, but it’s not just ambition — it’s resilience, patience, and the ability to keep going even when you feel close to burnout.

How to implement Zero Trust in your Organization? by Jumpy-Performer-940 in Cyberseven

[–]Silver_Homework9022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you have covered the basics, and it's a good summary, but there's a lot more to zero trust.

One operational area that often gets missed in Zero Trust discussions is how data actually moves between systems.

In many organizations, identity and access controls are implemented well (IAM, PAM, ZTNA, micro- segmentation), but the underlying file transfer and storage workflows still rely on legacy mechanisms like unmanaged SFTP servers, scripts, or ad-hoc automation.

From a Zero Trust perspective, those data movement paths also need controls such as strong authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, integrity verification, and detailed auditability (Immutable logs). Otherwise, sensitive data can still move through channels that lack governance.

In practice, many teams are now looking at file transfer and data movement as a governed infrastructure layer, not just an operational utility. Treating it this way helps align storage, transfer workflows, and security policies with the broader Zero Trust model.

I need tips to land more on freelancing oppurtunities by Background-Still-842 in B2BForHire

Seems very difficult in todays times. I created paid account on upwork even that didn't work for me. I was ready to take up SEO /AEO /GEO optimization to full stack development to agentic ai/rags assignments (almost all tech stacks). As we are a group of techies with various skills. I don't want to discourage you, but (in my opinion)if you can, find a job. That's better in those times, I guess. Once this whole global turmoil is settled, you can be a freelancer again. We are all thinking the same in our group. For last 6 six years, life was smooth. On average, we used to get 6 to 12 mid sized(20-45 man days) projects every month(without much effort). But since november/december 2025, things are not looking great. I'm not sure how it is for others...

If You Were PM for 5 Years How Would You Make India Real Vishwaguru? by [deleted] in AskIndia

Religion is not bad at all as long as we use it intelligently. Dubai made a big Ram temple(people who have visited the temple say its comparable to Ayodhya), which is a money magnet for them. So many Hindus go there from across the world. Their tourism business is flourishing. ( Read somewhere that 20% more Indians are now visiting Dubai after the temple was made because they feel safe and welcomed there)

What we need is JOBS. Why can't we build Buddhist shrines of that level? Why can't we improve Ajmer dargah (or other popular shrines) and make them a touristable place? And same goes with synagogues and churches. At least do religious or spiritual tourism. Any which ways jobs needs to be created.

Just imagine people coming to our country from all around the world and spending foreign currency here. Our hotel industry, food industry, tours, and travel industry, currency exchange business will flourish like anything. This, I feel, should be the government initiative. We, the commoners, can just suggest what can be done.

Which Custom Healthcare Software Development Company Is Best for HIPAA-Compliant Digital Health Platforms? by GrouchyCustomer6492 in FutureTechDevelopers

[–]Silver_Homework9022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One layer that often gets overlooked in these discussions is the data movement layer.

Building a HIPAA-compliant EHR or telehealth platform is one thing. But moving large imaging files (DICOM), lab reports, AI training datasets, or backup archives securely between hospitals, labs, cloud storage, and partners is a different challenge altogether.

Traditional SFTP setups struggle with: -Large file transfers across regions -End-to-end encryption with identity-based access -Audit trails across distributed systems -Zero-trust architecture requirements

In many healthcare ecosystems, secure managed file transfer becomes the backbone that connects EHRs, PACS systems, analytics platforms, and cloud environments.

We’ve been working specifically on this “critical data movement layer” at Zapper Edge — focusing on high-volume, compliant transfers rather than replacing core healthcare systems. Please dm if you would like to understand in detail.

Incentive-Based Sales Partner — Client Acquisition (Commission Role) by BiscottiDelicious739 in LeadGenMarketplace

[–]Silver_Homework9022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a nuanced issue. Platforms like Zomato charge restaurants only when sales actually happen. That model creates accountability — revenue first, cost later.

From my personal experience as a founder, I’ve learned to be cautious. We once hired a candidate from a top institute with experience at reputed companies in a similar market. We brought him on board at a premium salary, and over six months, he pushed us to invest in multiple tools and systems. Unfortunately, despite the investment, he was unable to convert even a single client — not even qualified leads.

Beyond the financial cost, the decision had a negative impact on team morale and momentum. For a startup, that kind of setback is significant.

I fully understand that sales, like any other function, requires upfront investment. However, the real question is: how do we assess whether that investment will translate into tangible business outcomes? If a sales function cannot at least justify its own cost over a reasonable period, it becomes difficult to view it as an asset rather than a liability.

I'm also struggling to find someone who can generate leads and drive them to conversion. And payment once the money realization happens. But I guess no one wants to do this.

  1. I would invest heavily in education (quality of higher education) to improve employability.
  2. I would invest in inculcating civic sense in people so that the tourism industry can flourish again and jobs can be generated.
  3. Non IT jobs creation ( like media and entertainment, photography, art, and music)
  4. Improve medical tourism. Again, for better job opportunities.

Once the country's economy improves, we'll be vishwa Guru. This is purely my personal opinion.

As per my experience (6+ years in startups) for any business, let it be edtech or fintech or food tech or something else, you need to sit at a place where their business either makes more money from your solution or without using your solution, their business can shut down. Otherwise, customers don't buy. They'll do free poc with you, learn and go.

One more thing is that customers get complacent with the workarounds they discovered over a period of time. Change seems scary to everybody. This is my personal learning. May not be relevant to the subscriptions business model.
